My Community Research Paper
elping my community is very easy to do, in many ways. There are many reasons why I would love to help my community. There are a lot of people trying to destroy our environment. My opinion in medical care is that it should be free, so that in order everyone can stay healthy happy. Many people suffer because of having to work so hard and take so many risks just to pay a doctor to get a check up. This community has gone very out of place everyone just doing whatever they want. This needs to stop. We have young kid's growing up and trying to get far in life. Everyone should set up a meeting and discuss this and think of an idea to stop this situation.

One of the biggest issue in our community is bullying our kids and friends, also innocent individuals.

Like for example building a program for student that needs extra help in their work and skills. We can have summer programs learning how to read, swim, dance, constructive things that can motivate our young kids to improve. Many kids spend their entire summer doing nothing, so we can set up so many creative activities for our kids, to keep them busy and positive. Also staying out of trouble and negative things.

Staying drug free is one of the most important things that I want to help to make it stop. There so many people getting and killed and going and to the hospital or jail. Instead of getting together and make the best out of us. They only want to destroy one another. The percentage of dead people is getting higher and higher every year.

Violence, it is crazy! I am planning a way to stop it because is affecting the innocent people around us. There are people out here waiting for people to go sleep and after that take their cars and just set it fire. For no reason just to hurt them and enjoy themselves. Some people just don't know what sacrifices people go through to get their own things. There are kid napping young girls after they came out of school or jobs. Just to make family suffer and go through so

“Forty five percent of children in America live in low-income families” (Child Poverty 1). The many negative effects a low-income environment causes can greatly impact a child’s life. Keeping these children motivated to be successful and to get out of this negative environment can be difficult. As a Sport Management major, I plan to serve the common good by volunteering my time working with local high school volleyball teams located in Pontiac, Michigan. My goal is to motivate these young women to finish high school and get out of Pontiac.…

In this paper I will use the ethical theories of utilitarianism and deontology, as well as the perspective of ethical egoism, as they pertain to the issue of immigration. Living in a state bordering Mexico [New Mexico], this is indeed becoming a pressing issue as tens of thousands of illegal immigrants flood my state and neighboring states. This issue brings up many questions such as: 1 – What is our moral obligation to these immigrants? 2- What is our moral obligation to U.S. citizens that are affected by this influx? 3- Is it morally right for smugglers to profit from the pain of those seeking safety, security, and a better life? 4- Is it morally/ethically right for parents to subject their children to the long, lonely, dangerous journey to the United States. By applying the theories and perspective noted above, I will show that if this issue is not handled immediately, the consequences will be detrimental to both U.S. citizens and the immigrants as well. The desire of the immigrants to obtain a better life does not preclude them from following current laws and processes. While they act from a position of self -interest, their actions impact many others in the process.…

Bullying has become an epidemic, and it needs to come to an end. If people will stand up for each other and protect each other, I believe bullying would cease to be effective. It preys on those who do not have the confidence to defend themselves. Often times, the bully hurts others as a way of protecting himself. He believes that if he attacks others, then they will not know he himself is hurting, or has been hurt in the past. It becomes a coping mechanism for him. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that bullying should not be responded to with more violence. They need to be shown love, but firm love. A love that says, “I love you enough to not let you continue down this path. Let me show you another way.” Then you are not only l protecting those that the bully hurts, but also you are protecting the bully himself in the long run.…

Student council has afforded me with so many opportunities and MASC Hyannis will only add to these amazing experiences. These experiences are ones that I will remember for a lifetime and help me grow as a person. As a student council representative, I have done my best to become involved and contribute to the council. In August I participated in StartSTRONG which opened my eyes and eased my tensions on high school. I learned all about what the MHS Student Council has to offer. In September I ran for Member at Large for my class and while I didn't win; I learned quite a few thing from that experience. I learned that it does not matter what position or how much power I have, I decide how active of a student council member…

Imagine that you are a thirteen year crying in your bed because you are dreading facing another day at school because you are being bullied. Nowadays, this is more common than ever before. For far too many teens this is a daily reality. According to the ASPCC (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) there are over 160,000 students in America who stay home from school every day because they are fearful of the mental and physical abuse from their classmates (1). The ASPCC defines bullying as a direct attack on a child’s status, sense of belonging and core identity and more times than not leads to low self-esteem (2). 1 out of 4 children are bullied every day (3). Bullying in any shape, form or fashion must be stopped so that our children can have a fighting chance.…

Why should every person living in the United States be an active and involved citizen? This is a question I would ask to the public or an individual like you. Why, well I want to know if our citizens of the US is active and is willing to lend a helping hand to the community or help in other ways that can impact the US in a significant ways. Even if it's doing something small like having solar panels to conserve power, doing community service to help the environment or even recycling. Being an active person is a choice that we can choose, but our choices shape our government and community depending on the actions that we do as free citizen.…

I think underserved community are from vulnerable population, e.g., low-income families, racial and ethnic minorities, the elderly, people with HIV or mental illness. They may also include culturally diverse populations such as African-Americans, Native American Indians, non-English speakers and people living in rural, isolated areas where they often encounter barriers to accessing healthcare services. They experience inequities in health status and mortality rates because of their less access to preventative services and health providers. I believe that as our population becomes increasingly diverse, it is more important than ever that we encourage more people of all backgrounds to commit to serving in our underserved communities.…

If I could eliminate one thing from this world I would eliminate drug and alcohol abuse. One reason why I would eliminate drug and alcohol abuse from society is because it causes crimes. It causes people to murder and steal to feed their addictions. Good people can be pressured into using drugs and alcohol and potentially ruin their future. People using drugs and alcohol would not be able to hold a steady life style. Their family would slowly fall apart, pretty soon having no one to turn to. People using drugs and alcohol sometimes hide themselves from society and do not seek help. Drugs and alcohol have been known to ruin relationships between friends and family. Once someone is afflicted with this type of addiction it is hard to steer them on the right path, therefore I feel the world would be better off without drugs and alcohol.…
