My Cultural Identity
What is my cultural identity? My cultural identity is involved with the things i love to do, people around me and things around me. Your culture depends on things you like such as , holidays, food, sports, traditions, tv shows, and even movies. My culture depends on three things. One of them is Tacos, this food brings out family traditions. Second, my soccer ball shows dedication in life to succeed. Third, Karate Kid shows my hard work in school and sports.
Tacos represent my culture and me. Tacos are warm and crisp tortillas. The tortillas are filled with meat, sometimes onion, cilantro and different spices. First of all, Tacos connect to my culture in several ways like holidays and passed down recipes. Holidays are always spent with family and with family comes food. You need to fill the people up so why not make tacos for everybody. Recipes have been passed down from older generations on how to make tacos. There are many reasons why tacos are my favorite food. First one is family. Family is the most important thing in life and you need to spend time with family. Tacos and Holidays have brought my family closer. Tacos are an important part of my cultural identity.

Soccer runs through my family. It’s been an everyday thing for several years. Soccer keeps me working hard everyday at practice. My brothers who are older both play on LA Galaxy in Los Angeles, California. They play on the team right under professionals. I plan on going to college just for soccer and playing soccer will maintain my grades so I’m eligible to play. My brothers and family have used soccer to succeed in life. Soccer keeps us working hard. My soccer ball is an important part of my cultural

According to the articles "Holding Onto Heritage Before It Slips Away" by Rachel L. Swarns, and "How The Taco Conquered America" by Lauren Tarshis, dishes from other countries often change when they come to the U.S. One way this is shown is in the article "How The Taco Conquered America" the article says how Americans did not like tacos and mexican food when it came to America, until it was changed a little. "Bell spent his evenings experimenting in his kitchen, finally devising a method crisping taco shells in advance. He concocted a taco sauce that was milder than a typical piquant Mexican sauce. He designed his tace place to be modern, more like a fast-food joint than a homey Mexican stand. Bell's first taco restaurant, Taco Tia, opened…

Some of their fillings include meat, beans, chili rajas, potatoes, or asadero cheese. We fill our burritos with some of these ingredients. Our burrito also includes sour cream, salsa, many different cheeses, guacamole, or many other things. A New Mexican burrito includes one ingredient with or without cheese. Soccer is important to me because it is the only time I can express myself from all the stress and things going on around me. Soccer reveals all the stress anger and enjoyment I have when I am off the field I am a different person then when I am when I am on the field. Soccer makes up a part of my cultural identity because when I play soccer that’s the only time I get to let everything out and really show who I am and that’s one of the only times part of my cultural identity is out. Soccer also shapes up who I am because when I play the sport I kinda shut everything out around me that’s happening when I play and I just try to focus on what’s happening around…

What is Cultural Identity? Some may say it´s your own characteristics that define who you are, what you believe in, how you see the world, and how everybody else sees others like you. Although there are still some people who judge you based on your ethnicity, Most people judge based on their character. For me, I think a lot of people see me as a quiet, smart, nice, trustworthy person and I have friends that have the same characteristics and doesn't judge me just because I'm Micronesian. Culture is one of the most difficult concepts in the human social sciences and there are many different ways of defining it. It is often argued that culture is a learned behaviour pattern shared by a specific group of people. Culture is about shared meanings, and language is the privileged medium in which meaning is produced and exchanged. People sharing one culture interpret the world in roughly the same way. Defining my own cultural identity seems to me quite difficult. I actually have to admit that I am not quite sure which culture I belong to.…

Playing soccer changed me in many ways. Firstly, soccer gave me new characteristics and a new lifestyle. I became more active, strong, and emotional. In school, I would play soccer every day and always showed my emotions whenever I disagreed with my peers and teammates. I’m more social and vocal in school because soccer made me more of an upbeat and an exciting person. I was also not scared of joining sporting events or any other physical activities in school because soccer erased all my fears. Another way playing soccer affected my life is how it gave me a new identity in school. In school I went from a boring, anti-social kid to a strong, athletic, cool person. People would admire my soccer talents, and also how much I care about the sport. By playing soccer I gained respect from my friends and teachers. Before people barely knew me, but know everyone knows of me and that is the best thing I could've…
