My Family: Being a Part of Me
Can I ask you something? Have you ever been influenced by some important person that helped you become of what you are today? If you will be going to asked me? Yes! I have been. My family.I could begin the book pf my life with a picture of my parents. They are important because of the gift of life they gave to me. All that I needed to grow up in the moment I was born, they gave me everything, great love, care, understanding and so much patience.
And now I will show you our family picture. I am the fourth among the six. I have three elder brothers, one younger brother and one younger sister. Out of my eight family members there is one I particularly look up to beyond all the rest, my Mother.
My mother has been by my side since the day I was born, I was sickly then , so she spent sleepless night watching over and taking care of me. Way back to my elementary school days. I can’t join any extracurricular activities like sports, girl scout and dance contest. I only joined singing contest which can’t affect my condition. Sadly, I wasn’t able to sent to school in first year high school because of my situation. I was a loner, silent, shy type and lack of self-confidence. Sometimes, I feel that I don’t need friends to mingle with and I prefer to stay in my room than to do chatting especially if we have visitors. But beyond those weaknesses, my mother has supported me all the times and taught me many things. She is a good mother, running buddy and friend, but a role model to me as well and I look up to her eminently. My elder brothers also has a great part of my being, they teach me to walk in the right path like to finish my studies as how they did with such crowning achievements they’ve got. My younger brother and sister also have shared moments in which we laughed, or we get sad and we’ve cherished it all.
My family has inspired me to aim for my goals, work hard at it, achieve and be confident enough. Help me to stand alone and stretch out my talent and let show the

I have had multiple influential people in my life, but I'm not going to say my parents or a great teacher, but rather someone closer to my age. Andrew Calton, a good friend and great influence. Andrew helped me “get back on my feet” when I was scared to kayak. I would stay on the lake and not go on rivers because I had no confidence in myself. Late at night he and Jack White, another good friend, came to my cabin at camp and told me there was a spot on a trip and he wanted me to go. I went on the trip and the fact that they wanted me to go boosted my confidence. We went on harder rivers I had never been on and I did not swim, or bail out of by boat once.…

“I’ll never become rich doing this, but it’s what I love,” she said. She refers to a woman who essentially changed my life, Corinna Sowers-Adler. A mentor, a teacher, a director, and a friend who I’ve only come to know for a little less than a year now. This refers to the wonderful world I hope to be immersed in for the rest of my life, theatre. Corinna and I were conversing on our way to Starbucks with the rest of my new theatre family, Gaslamp Academy of Performing Arts, a program I had just enrolled in for the summer. I replied with an answer I now have a better understanding for, “Well… you’re rich in so many different ways.” My family has never been rich in terms of money, we’re pretty far from it. But we’ve always been rich in things…

When someone asks you the question, “who has impacted your life?” I’m sure we all can list many amazing people. When people ask me that question one specific person comes to mind, my grandpa, Gordon Westendorf. He saw potential in me at a very young age. He would read to me for hours and hours to allow me to learn as much as i could. He never turned away from a teaching opportunity and always was willing to take time out of his busy day to talk to me or to help me with anything I need.…

A person who has had a significant influence on me in my life would have to be my former foster mother, Miss Barbara Pratt. Ms. Pratt was a foster mother to many children before myself and she had had wonderful success with most of them. I had been in an extremely abusive relatives home before I had been placed in Ms. Pratt’s home. When it was discovered that I was in an abusive home I was first placed in a group home in Cincinnati. Social Services worked very hard to find me a home that would help me adjust to a ‘normal’ life as quickly and easily as possible. They found the home my older sister had been placed in, they contacted Ms. Pratt and I was placed in her care.…

“You don't have to be a "person of influence" to be influential. In fact, the most influential people in my life are probably not even aware of the things they've taught me.” – Scott Adams. I believe that the one person that has the most influence in shaping my life is my grandmother. She has taught me how to be independent and courageous. Many people say that I am a lot like my grandmother because she and I both have very similar personalities and characteristics. When I started middle school, my older brother had influenced me the most he helped me when I was nervous, helped me with any homework or anything from school that I didn’t understand, and he’s helped me when I was too scared to speak in front of the class. Through the years many people have greatly influenced me, but one person in particular has influenced me the most, and that person is my older brother. Because my old brother helped me when I started middle school, prepared me for 6th grade, and helped me with my homework, he has been a very positive influence on me.…

“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love”. As humans we learn to accept those we love despite their strengths and weaknesses. We create bonds that go beyond logic and reasoning. Bonds that overpower the mind and with the proper time allow us to omit our pain. Love stands superior to all faults in a relationship. Such is the imperfection of love that without experiencing pain, love is never really understood. In Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller presents Linda, the heart of the Loman family, as a mother figure that agrees with Mother Teresa’s quote. Linda is compassionate, understanding, and loving towards Willy, however she is seen as the family destroyer who is partially to blame for Willy’s gradual collapse and false pride. She becomes torn between guilt, retaliation and pity. However, in the Requiem, at Willy’s funeral Linda, though loving him, is unable to cry over her husband’s death.…

Your identity is what makes you who you are and what makes you unique as an individual and different from other people. Identities are not static but dynamic and constantly changing. A personal identity is made up of several different aspects, and can be defined by culture (nationality, religion and gender) as well as family and career. Your identity is defined by how you see yourself and also by how you are seen by others. It is part given and part taken and also can be something we are born with. In some instances an identity may be something you are given and may not be through choice. I am going to look at what makes a personal identity and is it self-defined and made without the assistance of anyone else. I am also going to compare the opinion of the theorists Erik Erikson and Sigmund Freud and I will be using the case findings of the research project into becoming a mother for the first time and more importantly the case of Silma and her experiences, this was a research programme which included detailed interviews as well as observational research.…
