My First Day at School
Essay on My First Day at School for kid
Introduction
Many events happened in my life long ago. I have forgotten some events. But I distinctly remember some. They will remain fresh in my memory. My fist day at school is one such event.
Preparation for admission
I was seven years old when I was first admitted to school. My father taught me at home. My elder borther was then reading in the local school. It was decided that I too should go to school with him. I was a bit nervous at first. It was a new and unknown world to me. I feared that I would be among strangers. I did not know how the boys would receive me. I had also fear about the teachers. But my parents and elder brother encouraged me. They said that at school I would get playmates of my age. The teachers also were affectionate. At last I got over my fear and nervousness to some extent.
At School
On an auspicious day my father took me to the school. It was very big School. The school building was very big. I felt nervous when I entered the school premises with my father. I saw many boys. Some of them were of my age. The Headmaster knew my father. He knew that my elder brother was his student. He received me affectionately. He asked me my name and what books I had read at home. Then he asked an assistant teacher to examine me. I was found fit for class III.
In the class
I was then admitted to class III. A bearer conducted me to class III room. There were many boys of my age there. The teacher in the class asked me my name. he bade me to take my seat on a bench near him. I had great fear about the teachers. I heard that they beat the boys. But I was glad to see that he was not a teacher of that type. He affectionately asked me some questions. Fortunately I answered those correctly. So he was much pleased with me. There were two more periods of work before the tiffin period. In the meantime I had talks with a few boys. They received me kindly. During the tiffin period I played with the boys. I got over my

My first day was, as my sister had predicted, not exemplary. The student that I was assigned to follow on my first was not the most accepted boy in the school. I, therefore, did not get the opportunity to meet as many people as I might have hoped. I was immediately associated with that boy. I did meet a few people, though. Abdula Aldik and Eric Cordero were among my first friends.…

I dreaded the alarm that woke me up at 6:30 in the morning. It was as loud as a screaming toddler that could be heard for miles. I groggily got out of bed and got ready for my first day of school. It was a weird feeling not putting on a uniform like I had been for the past nine years, but I also enjoyed that freedom. The nervousness became more and more intense as I could closer and closer to campus. When we arrived, I got out of the car, and watched my dad drive off to go take my younger sister to school. There was no going back now; I had no other choice than to walk through those doors. I felt like my throat was in my stomach. I noticed some familiar faces, and I walked towards them. While I was approaching my friends, a senior, facing toward me, walked passed. He must have been at least six feet tall, which was incredibly intimidating for me at just over five feet. I was not used to the fact that I’d potentially have classes with these giants. Additionally, the array of new teachers, and having to learn all of their teaching styles and things they did or did not tolerate was hard in…

I walked into the classroom to see all my new pupils, I was nervous at first but then Miss Maudie introduced me to the class and everything was fine. I wrote my name on the board and told them what it said and where I am from. The class just murmured back to me. I started the day by reading the children a story about cats, I think they liked it but then again some of them did seem immune to imaginative literature. After reading I went to the blackboard and printed the alphabet in large capitals. I wasn’t surprised that everyone knew what they were seeing as most of the first grade had failed last year and where now back again for me to teach them.…

In his 2004 book, Status Anxiety, Alain De Botton argues that the chief aim of humorists is not merely to entertain but to convey with impunity, messages that might be dangerous or impossible to state directly. He believes humorists are allowed by society to say things that others won’t or do not want to express, thus serving a vital role in a functioning society.…

It was the first day back at school for a new year. Many of us still longed to be on holiday, carefree and careless. It showed on our faces as we grumpily and wearily made our way along the corridors to our House Room. This year our form (11) had a new student. When we walked in we all just looked at him, scrutinizing, mentally noting anything unusual. There was something about him though, but I couldn't quite see it. Nobody interacted with him at first - the teachers were all around him, then he was set free, for us students to talk with him, I didn't talk to him myself, rather I just listened to the questions of others, which, he answered them faintly. They ask him questions to get him talking, to get him relaxed, but he simply answered the questions and nothing more. Soon the interest wore off and he was left all alone.…

The classroom was bright and colorful. It was like a world of wonder. We hung our backpacks up in the small cubbys and got settle in our seats. Each of the desks had our names on them. Some of the kids were accompanied by their parents on the first day. My mother didn’t come with me. She said I was a big boy and I would be fine. As Ms. Bishop was walking down our class schedule on the chalkboard, I decided to go introduce myself to my classmates. I have never been a shy person or afraid to meet people. “Good morning, everybody and welcome to your first day of kindergarten,” Ms. Bishop said.…

I remember the first day of school. I was so excited and nervous at the same, feeling like i had a pit in my stomach. Me and my dad were doing a line that was for the new students. There was a chubby girl with braces and long hair with her dad in the line that was for the kids who were already enrolled in the school. My dad started making conversation with the girl’s dad talking about how it was my first time going to school in the United States.…

From Holly Springs to Apex we moved in a rush and as soon as possible. I kept to myself mostly not wanting anything to do with leaving the house or talking to anyone but occasionally my family. The first day of middle school is one I’ll remember for a long time. All my friends from elementary school were all going to a different middle school then I was so on the first day I knew absolutely no one. Because we moved so late in the summer I was considered a late transfer student, so on the first day of school they still hadn’t made my schedule yet. I was stuck in the office fighting back tears for all of my first 3 periods waiting for them to finally finish my schedule. Because I was late to my classes on the first day I had to wait to set up…

Everything happened when I was year-two in grade school. It started when I saw a student standing and looking at me well, I think he’s not a normal student who’s have freedom to play, to talk to someone, to eat during recess time or not even to study during examination days. Because me, yes I am; only one in the school can see him standing and staring at me. At the first place I thought everybody can see him. So I’m fearless to go near to him or even to talk to him. Though he didn’t talk back to me I still keep on asking him why does he crying. But later on I caught some people’s attention on why am I talking alone. I remembered how they talked, stared, teased and laughed at me saying: “That young girl is talking alone look!” I’ve wondered at that very moment saying to myself, “Every second had been done, is it all an imagination or is it the moment of truth?” The young boy never visited me again. Days, weeks, months and years passed by, all supernatural things for me are now simple natural things. Yes, after I saw that young boy, there’s a lot of like him that I saw and will see in my life.…

    A blessing in disguise

I believe that all things happen for a reason, and that difficulties happen so that one can appreciate the good things that one has. When I was thirteen, my parents made the decision to transfer me to my hometown school because it had a good quality of education. I took two days travel there by train, bus, boat, 2000 kilometers far away from my city in another province. I was very sad and disappointed with this big change in my life. I missed my city, home and friends. In this small ancient town, people still got their drinking water from the well, washed their clothes in the river, and had very limited electricity. The town house that I lived with my aunt’s family was very wet and cold in winter. Furthermore, on the school entry test, I ranked at the bottom ten of sixty students, although I had ranked tenth in my previous class in the city. These changes made me feel lonely, frustrated and discouraged. However, after I saw my classmates having not enough food or clothing, and walking more than seven kilometers from other villages to school every day, I realized that comparing with them, I was much better. Gradually I was affected and inspired by their spirit. They were optimistic, diligent and not afraid of difficulties. I started calming down and putting all my efforts into my studies. Every day, I got up at 5:30 in the morning to recite English words and literature. At night, after finishing homework, I studied till after midnight. When electricity was off, I would continue studying with a candle. Under that hard circumstance, I made a great improvement in all my subjects. After two years, I ranked third in my class. When at last, I returned to my city for the High School Entrance Examination, I became very successfully enrolled in a high ranking high school in my city. I firmly believe that those two years’ experience were a blessing in disguise because it entirely changed me. I became independent and strong, and learned to have an…

My first day was an okay day; there weren't so many kids there because the senior’s juniors and sophomores didn't have school that day. My first thought about school was that, I didn't want school to start yet because it was still summer. I was a little nervous at first but when I got there I was fine. I went to all my classes and I thought wow this is going to be hard. I got lost a couple of times because it was a big school and I was new. Then the day after that everybody was here at school and it was very crowed I could barely get to class on time. The first week of high school was pretty easy because we didn’t have a lot to do.…
