My First Day Of Middle School
From Holly Springs to Apex we moved in a rush and as soon as possible. I kept to myself mostly not wanting anything to do with leaving the house or talking to anyone but occasionally my family. The first day of middle school is one I’ll remember for a long time. All my friends from elementary school were all going to a different middle school then I was so on the first day I knew absolutely no one. Because we moved so late in the summer I was considered a late transfer student, so on the first day of school they still hadn’t made my schedule yet. I was stuck in the office fighting back tears for all of my first 3 periods waiting for them to finally finish my schedule. Because I was late to my classes on the first day I had to wait to set up

The day I found out I would be moving from Roseville to Alpena was probably the worst day of my life. I remember the day I found out about the move. Not only was I really upset because I would be moving away from my friends and family, but I was really scared. We were moving to the middle of nowhere, where I knew not a single person. I would be going into my 6th grade year in the fall, my first year of middle school. My brother and I did everything we could to try to sabotage the move, but sadly our plans failed. Nothing could stop this from happening. Everything I knew… was about to change.…

I moved to Alabama from Texas at the beginning of my 6th grade year. The day before leaving, my best friend since kindergarten came over and stayed the night with me, dreading falling asleep and waking up to a nightmare of having to say goodbye. The morning came and so did the tears, I had packed up my entire life, said goodbye to all my family, friends, my house, and even my dad. How was I, an insecure, and VERY shy little girl supposed to just leave everything I knew and loved and start all the way over when my life was just getting started? It was a long 12 hour drive from Dallas, Texas, to little town Guntersville, Alabama and it gave me a long time to pity myself, hate my mom for moving me, get over the hate and be excited, and then be upset all over again. Alabama. Why Alabama? We had a choice, Alabama or Florida, and we chose here??? Me being a stubborn, bratty, over dramatic pre-teen, I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. I thought the world was ending.…

Moving changed me but also taught me about a new area and gave me new friends at a new school whom I am starting to really enjoy. In the future, I know I will be able to graduate with the new friends for my new school, and it does not sound too bad to…

Summer went bye like it wasn't even there and by the time school started I was very depressed. The new school I was going to was Naperville North High School which was about ten times the size of my old school in Pennsylvania in size and in the number of students. In my school in Pennsylvania there were about twelve students in each class, here the number runs around thirty two. The school building was so big I had a lot of trouble getting to class on time let alone finding them in the building. The school wasn't what I was bothered by the most because it was the fact that I didn't have any social life and I was a social person. There were a lot of different groups of people at my new high school, it was tough for me to fit in and meet new people. Everyone just knew me as the new kid and didn't even bother to find out what my real name was. The first month of being the new kid is a very hard month of school. I knew no one who I had anything in common with and began to get terrible grades in…

For the first two months of my freshman year there wasn't a single piece of furniture on the floor so I couldn't print out papers for school because the printer wasn't set up, I couldn't sleep on my bed but on the mattress itself. The whole process was very irritating and stressful all I could do was hope I didn't fail my first semester and unfortunately I didn't have many friends to help me. When we finally got settled after a year living in Arlington, TX my parents decided to yet again move to a new house because they didn't feel comfortable and neither did my sister and I. During my sophomore year in high school we moved to Dallas, TX a little bit closer to our school. It was annoying to move into another house again We had to pack everything once again and undergo the process of moving from one house to the…

In the ending of junior year I started messing up and my grades were going down so my mom got worried and decided to move into a new school since she thought my friends were a bad influence. The other reason why I moved to San Fernando High was because its my home school. My biggest challenge I faced starting at San Fernando was if the classes were hard and the classes were big. The worst part of facing a new school was finding the right friends and not being able to do good in school. I overcame this challenge by telling my self everything is going to be okay and just focous in shool.…

I was quieter than usual as my family piled into the car. We were going to go see our new house. The house I didn’t really know how I felt about yet. My parents had always talked about moving into a bigger house when I was younger, but I never thought it would actually happened. I couldn’t think of any reason why we needed to move. I liked our current house just fine--with all the fruit trees and the small backyard, and the room that me, my older sister, and my brother shared. Plus--moving houses meant we had to change schools. My sister and brother already went to our new school, but I didn’t yet. Our new school was a public school, not private, so that meant they wouldn’t let me into first grade--I wasn’t old enough. I wouldn’t turn…

I’ve seen plenty of movies where the main character changes high schools and finds instant popularity, romance, and overall success. Still, the thought of moving and starting over at a new school sent chills down my spine. And to my surprise, that’s exactly what happened. My mom had been laid off for over a year and had finally found a job in a town about 45 minutes away from our home. It all happened so fast. I was about to become a senior in high school. I was so disappointed and angry with the thought of changing everything and leaving all that I had ever known.…

I wore a smiling face while walking through a gate, and was astonished by the great building before me. I am Rose, then 13. It was my first day at my new school. Enthusiasm and happiness filled my heart to its brim. The sound of bell, signaling all students to assemble was heard just when I was about to set a step.
