My First Day of School I remember my first day of school when I was 7 years old. My mom gets up and makes me ready for school with my sister. Then we went to school. She drops us off in the classroom then she waits little while in the yard. The teacher told her name and she introduce herself. Then she wants to everybody introduce themselves to class. I was kind of scared. I thought the teacher going to yell when you made a mistake. I told her I want to go home. She said I couldn't because I need to be in school. I start to cry then she called my mom from the yard. My mom came to the classroom and sit with me. The teacher said only for one day. My mom explains to me she can't be with me in the school. Then teacher told the students that we are going to continue introduces ourselves today. Everyone introduce themselves so do. Peaceful resistance to laws does positively impact a free society. The Boston Tea Party of 1773 and the arrest of Rosa Parks on December 1st, 1955 are both great examples of that. The british continuation of placing taxes on tea was the reason the Boston Tea Party first began. Angry colonists chose to dress themselves as Mohawk Indians (to not get recognized as they got on british tea ships) to dump thousands of pounds of tea down the Boston Harbor. Even though they were unfortunately punished after this by the british, it resulted in being one of the main reasons why America wanted independence from Britain and in the end were gladly able to achieve that! This brings me to the next point, Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks was arrested for not approving…

It was two in the morning. I got out of bed, running on three hours of sleep. I ran downstairs after getting ready for a long bus ride. I saw my mom and grandpa waiting downstairs, as my grandpa was going on the trip with me. When at the school, teachers checked our bags, kind of like the airport. After this check, we were off (well, about an hour later). Now it was off on our new home for the next 12 hours. For the first three hours, everyone slept. It was boring and I will skip that. We then pulled over for our breakfast stop. When we stopped, the teachers passed out our boxes of bagels. We proceeded to get back on the road next, which was a rather long time. About four hours of driving through Ohio farms and Pennsylvania hills,…

As I was getting dropped off and hearing my mom telling me bye I started to cry. Being really close to my mom I didn't want her to leave me there all alone. So we walked in together and she told me that I was going to be all right. My mom and my new teacher, Mrs. Fossum were having a hard time getting me to stay there. After they saw that I wouldn't stay, my mom had to stay there with me thru out that whole day. As the first day went on I was making a bunch of friends with my new classmates. When the second day came I wanted my mom to stay at school but I realized that she had to go to work. After she had left I saw a table that had some crayons and some paper on it, so I ventured over to it and stood by the seat watching to see if anyone was going to stop me from drawing. No one came so I took a seat, a piece of paper, and of course a blue coloring pencil just like the one I had at home and started to draw. When the other children saw that I was already hard at work with my drawing, which somewhat looked like a cow, they came and sat down with me. Even the child that didn’t want to leave his father noticed me and…

The night before school started I could not sleep. No matter how hard I tried I was just too excited. After lying in bed forever thinking about how cool my new school was going to be, I finally fell asleep. In the morning, my dad came in my room and started tickling me to wake me up. He said “Good morning baby girl.” I was sure to correct him right away. I was starting my BIG kid school today; I’m not a baby girl anymore. He just laughed and told me he had a surprise for me. We walked into the kitchen and he had made my favorite breakfast, Chocolate chip pancakes. I don’t think that day could have got any better. As soon as I was done eating I went and put my new dress on and almost…
