I never really had an answer when grown-ups asked me what I wanted to be when I was little. Did I want to be a Veterinarian? Maybe, animals are awesome. Teacher? I’d rather just learn. Astronaut? Only if they make space food tastier. Now I’m about to be one of many so-called “grown-ups” and I finally have the answer. I want to help people. I will help people. I am going to be a social worker.…

This lab gives a better understanding of biosynthesis of starch. As you can see with our data we had some discrepancies in tubes where glucose was present no starch should have been found however we have “+” in a few of the time slots this could be do to…
Everyone is asked one question, at a very young age. That question is: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” There isn’t a time I can remember when an adult didn’t ask me this question. When I was six, I would respond with the usual movie star, fashion designer, or veterinarian. My answer would be said confidently, as at this age I walked through life as if it were no big deal. My answer occasionally changed to fit with my many childhood phases, but my view on the question stayed the same. When I was a child, I replied to this inquiry the same way everyone else did; I answered with an occupation. It took me years to discover my new approach to this question. My new response did not include my dream job, but how I saw myself in the future.…
One of my greatest accomplishments was graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance. While working a full-time job consecutively juggling school activities I completed my degree in three and a half years. I was encouraged by my grandfather who was once a Dean of Educational Services at Miami University and consequently had a long legacy of being a superior educator. Completing my degree and starting a career in Banking at Wells Fargo brought an abundance of pride to me and my family. Starting as a Teller I worked my way to becoming a Branch Manager in four years. After devoting ten years in Retail Banking I transitioned to Business Banking. Within six months I became a Business Banking Administration Manager, managing Business Banking Associates and operations among 5 different locations. Three years later I learned that a Business Banking reorganization was going to happen furthermore, I amongst numerous others…

I recall being asked by my relatives: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and instead of an answer I would give them a blank stare. I had no idea how to respond. Not because there was nothing I found appealing, but because I felt passionate about too many things. I loved music, math, design, helping others, working with kids, analyzing situations and solving problems. There were to many career paths that I liked, but it always seemed to me that in order to follow one I would have to give up the rest.…

I want to contribute to the business world once I finish my degree. I would someday like to become a marketing and advertising manager. Marketing and Advertising are considered one of the best of the business fields at Howard. Becoming a business major will be a great investment in my life and I also could really enjoy myself in that field. I want to be a business major because it will help me improve my communication skills and my personal development skills, which I will need both in order to interact and communicate with other people in the business environment. I know that becoming a business major requires a lot of thinking and communicating. I will also be ready to bring my skills to analyzing problems, evaluate solutions, and make proper decisions for my future company. The business field supports my interest because I feel it’s one of the highest demand jobs worldwide, it’s a big part of our society, it’s diverse and seem to be one of the highest paid jobs in the business. In closing, I feel that being a business major will help me to stand to gain out of…
Back in high school, I had always been a shy and introverted person, refusing to step out of my comfort zone. However, seeking a career pass in business requires me to step out of my comfort zone and explore my potentials. Staying in the comfort zone and never experience new things and never try to understand the complexity of the world will never help me achieve my big, hairy, audacious goal. My big, hairy, audacious goal for now is to be financially independent, so my parents don’t have to work so hard to support me. Also, I want to be an accountant and work my way up to be a Chief Accounting Officer, and maybe start a company of my own. My big, hairy, audacious goal might not be as big, as hairy and as audacious as other people’s, but I am willing to prepare myself in order to achieve my goal. This year, I am going to join the University Finance Association, in which I can have a deeper understanding of finance, and Austin Meal Movement, which is an organization dedicated to raise money for charity. Through raising money to help the needy, I can improve myself while helping others. Also, I will continue to stay active in Asian Business Student Association, where I served at a committee member planning one of the largest philanthropic event, Feed Your Mind, on campus. Working and interact with different people from different background…
My parents hard work and accomplishments have taught me that I can do whatever I set my mind to do. At this time I am not sure what I want my career to be but I know I want to be successful. Everyone wants to be successful but not everyone is willing to work hard to be successful. My parents have taught me that the key to become successful is to work hard. In the end my goal is to work hard, become successful, and to repay my parents somehow for their hard work.…

What I would like to do with my life after my undergraduate work is done was completely shaped off my marketing plan. After earning my degree of Health Care Management with a long term care track and Business minor I decided that graduate school just wasn’t for me. I felt that the student loans I had already piled up were enough and that I needed to start making money as fast as I could to start paying them off before the interest rates went up instead of going to school for 4 more years while piling up more debt with no way to pay it off. I also only took classes that I knew would be beneficial for me or that I needed to fulfill my degree requirements because I knew I wouldn’t want to waste my time with anything that would not benefit me with knowledge for real world experience.…
At the age of 8 we change our minds about what we want to do when we grow up about every week. At the 18 and a few months away from graduating some of us still don’t know what we want to do or where we want to go in life. Excluding all of those soon to be high school graduates, I already know what I want to do after high and know where I want to go. Since the age of 10, I’ve always dreamt of being a police officer. I cant see myself doing anything other than patrolling the streets and keeping people safe.…
