I have chosen Jeremy Bailon to be the person that I will leave my legacy on. I’m good friends with Jeremy’s brother, Joshua Bailon, but I’ve never taken the time to get to know Jeremy. We were both apart of the cross country team at Gilbert Christian High School (GCHS), but we had our own group of friends on the team. This is one of the reason that I chose Jeremy. We knew each other beforehand, but we never actually engaged in any meaningful conversation. This project will provide me with the perfect opportunity to get to know Jeremy better, and how to leave a lasting legacy upon them. There are several reasons as to why I picked Jeremy to be the person I will leave my legacy on.…
The enduring legacy of Kamehameha the Great was the unification of the Hawaiian islands. By the time 1782, he had reclaimed his home island of Hawai’i. Using weapons from American and European traders, he had then conquered Maui and Molokai. In 1795, Kamehameha stormed the shores of Waikiki beach and led his army to Nuuanu, where a battle with Oahu chief, Kalanikupule, hundreds of Oahu’s warriors killed, pushed off the Pali cliffs. By 1810, he had united all of the islands. He had set up governors to administer each island.…
The American Legacy Foundation is a rare example of a public charity being born with a silver spoon. Even before it began operating in 1999, the foundation was bequeathed more than $1 billion from the settlement of a massive lawsuit brought by the attorneys general of 46 states against the country’s major tobacco companies. That money is part of billions of dollars that the tobacco companies paid, basically as reparations, for the damage their products wreaked on the public.…
My family’s requests may seem overwhelming now, but they won’t in a while because you have to take everything one step at a time. I have many fears about continuing the family name and legacy but I think most times that I was created for a big reason and raised the way I have been for a larger purpose. I think to myself what it would be like doing something great and continue a legacy, but I also think about what the outcomes would be if they didn’t turn out the way my family and I hoped for. My family's legacy that was created by my ancestors has put pressure on me but it also has made me work harder because maybe one day I could be like Martin Maloney. This dharma creates pressure, but it drives me and when it becomes to much I conquer some of the pressure by staying calm. I know that if I stay focused, work hard and can make something significant out of my life by following my passions, that in turn will keep our legacy going with the family. While my dharma is still being scripted, my family has taught me that pressure is always in someone’s everyday life, but the person with the pressure can conquer it by following their passion, overcoming hard obstacles, and staying…
achievements in the field I’m trying to pursue. Society, dreams, and influential people, these are things…
Humans are not just specks in the universe. Our lives have purpose, and we have to make a decision every day to pursue that purpose. All too often people diminish the impact a single person can make by rationalizing that our lives represent less than a blink of an eye in the greater scheme of eternity. However, our actions, words, and accomplishments do not die with us. We leave a legacy that impacts others. And this inspired me to create a senior project that would last even after I graduated. I not only wanted to create a project that left a positive impression on my community, but also changed my heart to focus on others. Ultimately, I decided to create the 365 Venture, where I committed to volunteering 365 hours in the year 2016 and document…
We all have heard of the saying, “What do you want to be come when you grow up?” Well, for me it’s easy I want to do something that helps people. Perhaps an accountant, lawyer, or the President. Those are the things that I used to say when I was a young child with no regards to the big and nasty world we call “home”. Yet, one thing stuck with me and it was becoming a person who helps others in their time of need no matter what, I would also like to be rich as well, after all, money does help. In this research paper I will talk about my interest in becoming an Accountant, Human Service Assistant, or a Barber.…
It is the day of your 8th grade graduation. You look around and see your friends and family. You begin to think back and ask yourself “Where has it all gone?” It all seems like a blur. Think back through the years. How do you think the people you have encountered think about you? Will they think of you in a positive way or a negative way? The way in which you are remembered is your legacy. Some people will have respectable legacies, while others won’t. It is up to you what type of legacy you have. I hope that at the end of 8th grade, I will have a respectable legacy.…
The general thought among all people is that the only things that truly matter in life are “what we do”. In the end, the only people who are actually aware of “what we think”, or more importantly “what we believe”, is our ourselves. One’s beliefs and ideals may fade, but the only legacies that can never be erased is our deeds. Great men and women are never remembered for beliefs or thoughts, for “only consequence is what we do.”…
I’ve traveled more than most, am fluent in a second language and have lived the lifestyle of an expatriate. My time growing up in Venezuela, Guatemala and Saudi Arabia has been more than just collecting souvenirs. It’s a treasury…
Throughout the years, billions of individuals have inhabited the Earth, each with their own lives and their own particular choices. With every choice made, these individuals have started to compose their legacy, which is the exemplification of who they are and what they have accomplished. I, like the majority of the rest of the world, am starting to leave a legacy as well, and plan to continue and enhance it along the shining stone path known as my life.…

Yes very much so. It's part of my roots, part of who I am. You can't deny your heritage, or believe it has no impact on your life.…
I’m very passionate about sports but mostly I have love for the game of football. I have been playing football for about six years and it is the best decision that I have done with my life. While I was in football I learn leadership to think before others needs then myself, to be selfless. Football taught me many things but most of all I could do anything if I put enough sweet and tears of hard work into something I can do it, even though it might seem impossible. After years of being a Vista football panther, I had another family but mostly we formed a brotherhood for life.…
