My life as a soundtrack
My life as a soundtrack

Music is a key factor in my life, now and has been for as long as I can remember. Music is something that can control my mood and emotions unlike any other. The sound and melodies of the song have the potential to sway my moods from a dark and gloomy state all the way to a joyous and soothing state. Music allows me to control what and how I want to be. Music is almost like picking out a favorite outfit. When a person picks out an outfit. When a person picks out an outfit to wear they most likely pick an outfit that expresses them and how they are feeling at that direct moment.

Recently, my life has been undergoing changes. I am now starting to apply myself in a way that allows me to develop my potential and show forth the results as an outcome of the pursuance of fulfilling my dreams. More than ever now I am starting to realize that “you get out of life what you put in”. Life is dependent on only what you bring to the table. If one tends to put in minimal effort then one should not expect to experience a great aftermath.

I have chosen two songs that apply to my life right now. The main theme of the “soundtrack of my life” is overcoming obstacles and changing things that are essential to the growth and the perseverance of an individual. John Legend’s song “If your out there” has made an impact on me. When I first heard the song I immediately fell in love with it. This song made me feel empowered in a sense and I felt inspired to go out, make a difference and do something great.

Another song is Fantasia’s “Lose to win”. I absolutely love this song because in this song she talks about in order to win you have to lose at some point in your life. This song has taught me a valuable lesson. Everyone has had a losing point in his or her lives and everyone has been a winner in their lives also. This song has also made an impact on me and I’ll never forget it. Hope you enjoyed “my life as a

All though my parents never got a divorce I feel a connection with different pieces of the song and I thoroughly enjoyed the way he expressed his emotions throughout the song in words I would have never thought of using. The song is very vocal with a quite instrumental background that ties it all together, he uses so much emotion and power in his singing that it’s hard not to feel the same emotions he is feeling in this song. He talks about his parents fighting and him trying to keep them together which I feel like most children have tried to do when their parents are fighting.…

    Mi Gente Song Analysis

One of the songs I chose is named “Mi Gente”, which is an Urban Latin/pop song which is frequently played at South-American parties (From personal experience). Mi Gente is an upbeat song which happens to be in the top 20 songs in Canada. I feel this song relates to me on a personal level in multiple ways. For instance, listening to the song with no meaning other than to enjoy the song, it would probably sound pleasant or delightful. Though if you examine the lyrics thoroughly, you will uncover the deeper meaning (one example being “From corner to corner, but I have it in my hand”). This song exemplifies me because maybe the first couple times you meet me, I might seem calm or ordinary, but if you really…

    Drake Successful Essay

The chorus and title of the song was the main part of the reason why I decided to choose this song. For one Drake is one of my all time favorite music artists next to Lil Wayne. He motivates me to be who I am and puts me in a positive attitude with his creative lyrics. I chose this song because it shows how Drake wants to be successful in his life and how he keeps himself going to achieve his dreams. He pushes past the troubles in his life and all the hate everyone throws at him to do what he wants to do, produce music, as he is on pretty much every hip hop radio station and selling millions of albums every week, I would have to say he made it to where he wants to be.…

If my life were a soundtrack, then on December 5, 2001, at 4:38 am, the first song would have started being recorded. I believe that my soundtrack shows a pretty wide variety of music because my life is made up of a bunch of crazy little elements. There are a few musical theater songs in my soundtrack because I believe that the songs from these productions have the best themes of all. The theme for my life soundtrack is to be yourself and it’s based on my second favorite quote by Dr. Seuss, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out!” So, let me entertain you with my life, because if it’s not interesting, it’s at least a little bit funny.…

    Song Of Deborah

FOr me, I find this song inspirational because I feel the singer is speaking to me. The song’s chorus in particular is the most inspirational. I feel like the singer wants me to be successful and is hoping for me to achieve my dreams. The most inspirational part is when it says, “And when you get it all just remember one thing, remember one thing, one man could change the world.” I feel this line has a lot of truth to it and can serve anyone well in life to try to follow it. Go after your dreams and if you achieve them try to help other people achieve their dreams and change the world. At the very end of the song, there are line from Sean speaking on the phone to his grandmother. His grandma thanks him for calling and thinking of her. I have a great relationship with my grandparents and this hits home for some reason. I think the reason it is in the song though is to try and show people that giving attention to the elderly is helping the world. This song does not relate much to the biblical songs. That is because those songs preach love and belief in God, while “One Man Can Change the World” focusses more on love and belief in yourself. Saying that, it doesn’t make the biblical songs any less inspirational. While belief in yourself is crucial in whatever you do, belief in Hashem is just as important. For that reason I do believe that biblical songs are inspiring to me because they are very upfront…

“Riot” by Three Days Grace tells not to give up on myself even though I have already made regretful mistakes. Every day I listen to this song to mind me to keep my head up and not to look down at disappointment. I live everyday like normal because I tell myself that mistakes are meant to be made so I’m never giving up on myself thanks to this song. It has served as the basis of multiple friendships and provides me with something to do in my free time. Some of the music I listen to, such as the band Twenty One Pilots, has even helped me get through dark times in my life. The lyrics of many of the artists I listen to are quite impactful, and have even changed how I view essential concepts such as life. Through playing music, I have met many of my closest friends, and it has given me a different perspective on music as a whole. It has also introduced me to songs and composers that I would’ve never heard of without lessons or playing in ensembles. Music has changed my life for the positive immensely, and is a big part of who I am as a…

I moved from another state my senior year and I was the new girl all over again. I faced lots of obstacles where I felt like I was the only one going through. There were 3 songs that helped me get through this year, my first song is by Tamela Mann called “In Your Corner”. This song brought me through tough times. There were times that I thought that I wasn’t going to make it this far and that no one really cared. This song basically is saying that Jesus is in my corner to see me through it all, and that he hears me every time I call and that he’ll be there to catch me when I fall. In addition to that song there was another song by Kirk Franklin called “I Smile”. This song gave me that courage to smile even through my ups and downs. The song simply says “I smile even though it hurts, see I smile”. Another song that got me through this year would be by Kelly Clarkson called “Make You Stronger” This song really helped me realize that whatever I was going through that I could use it to be my stepping stool and that I didn’t have to let it keep me…

Watching the film “Get Up Stand Up”, reminded me of just how important music is. It really can be a powerful voice for a cause or a movement. When I watched Woody Guthrie singing “This Land Is Your Land”, it reminded me of the whole debate about immigration today, and how this country is everybody’s land. Woody Guthrie, was singing back in the 60’s, he gave a voice to those who were frustrated with the policies of their government, but I could feel the same passion today that they felt. When he sings “This land was made for you and me”. It really hit home, and I felt like nothing could express that sentiment so potently beautifully as music.…
