My Life Research Paper
In August,12 1996 my parents Larry and Diane Trende got married. They have been together since 10th grade in highschool. On March 12th, 1999 I was born at Regional Health Service of Howard county. I was my parents first child, so I am pretty special. In 2003 it was one of the hardest years for my family. My mother's youngest brother Darin,who was 19 years old,was killed in a car accident. It was a rough couple of months for my family. My mom was struggling and was always gone up at mayo visiting him, and I was left and my grandparents a lot. After a week in a coma, they took him off life support and he passed away on April 23, 2003. Activities I am involved in. I have ran cross country now for 3 years, and I love it. my Freshman year of high school, because I believe the XC coach coach is way better.
Swim team: I have been swimming now for over 12 years.
My mom had me join swim team when I was 6 years old. I have been swimming ever since, and last year I became the Cresco swim team coach. It was a pretty big accomplishment when I found that out. I have been coaching swim team now for 2 years, with Alexis Reicks and Taylor Martinek.
Wrestling: Wrestling is my all time favorite sport. I was raised from a wrestling family, so it just kind of came to me. I have been wrestling since I was 4 years old, and have not stopped since. This year was my first year I won a high school wrestling tournament, and it was the Chris Flanagan tournament here in Cresco. I was one of the best moment of my life.
Vacations: Every year my family takes a trip somewhere, I never know till we leave. My first vacation I went on with my family was Mt. Rushmore, but we also went to Yellowstone national park in Wyoming to. A year after that trip on Christmas day I found out we were going on a cruise to Jamaica, and the Grand Cayman Islands which was pretty awesome. We are on the cruise for 7 days and it was great time.
This last year Lauren and I found out we were going to Destin Florida for a week. We went to the beach every day and got lots of sun. I just found out we are going back this week, which is pretty
awesome.
Half marathon: On June,20 a few weeks after the Destin trip we went to Duluth Mn to run a half marathon with my Bodermann family. We stayed up there for about 5 days, so we could do some touring around the City. I ended beating my parents, but my aunt and cousin came in ahead of me. This summer we ran another half marathon in Des Moines, it was called the Dam to Dam. I ran with my cousin Brooke Bodermann, and we came in with a time of 2 hours and 8 mins. It was really with my time, because I beat my PR by 10 mins.
Future: I plan on attending a 2 year college either DMACC or NIACC for HVAC or my other option is going to the University of Iowa to study physical therapy. It's always been my dream to go to a university to study something medical. This summer,I visited many of colleges, but my favorite college where I felt like home was Luther. I went to 3 luther wrestling camps, and their coach Dave Mitchell has been contacting me a lot, so it depends on how my wrestling season goes. I also had a great opportunity to talk to the head professor in the Nursing program, and she was amazing. I learned that my junior year of the nursing program, I get start doing clinicals at mayo the whole year.
