My Literacy Skills Essay
My literacy skills began to increase, like most peoples. It first started through the moral stories by my parents. Later on it was developed even more when I started going to school my teacher started mold my style of reading and writing. In my opinion the reason I developed my literacy is because in my childhood I dreamt of being a novel writer. Everyone, who wants to be successful, needs to know how to read and write. I learned that I had to write however my teachers wanted me to write and ultimately it did pay off because I passed my classes, did my papers, and graduated high school. So to succeed it was obvious that I had to read and write. Many events had an impact on how I learned though.
As a young child my mother always told me stories which made me more interested towards stories and being author. Sometimes it would be stories that were passed on from her childhood and, panchatantra, choota bheem and other children’s books. Now that I reflect upon it, there was always a moral to the story, whether it was honesty,

Like most kids, this is the introduction to writing and reading in one’s life. Here we learn the basics. A book, what we thought were just drawings and symbols on paper turned out to be letters and words on paper and all around us. We learned that words have meanings and that he more we understood the more likely we would be able to get what we wanted. Unlike most kids though, I also learned to succeed by reading in writing in 5th grade. When one is taken out of their natural environment one must adapt to overcome. That is what I learned, most importantly that is why I learned to read and write in a completely different language in just one year. Literacy in my opinion is much like Darwin’s natural selection theory, only the ones who adapt survive and succeed. Only the ones who read, write, and understand efficiently can become powerful and
