Through the participation of sports I have learned different leadership skills that impact the lifestyle that I live today on and off the track. I utilize the leadership skills I learned in sports by becoming the Senior Class Treasurer. Being the treasurer makes underclassmen look up to you and want to follow in your footsteps. The leadership skills has also impacted my volunteer activities, I teach second grade at a summer camp every summer which is why I utilize the leadership skills to keep the kids in line, and help them make good choices starting from a young age. Besides the leadership skills I have put to work in my community, I also use the skill to help motivate our school track team to do and be the best they can.
