As a hardworking student I believe that Academics, Character, Leadership and Service play a major role in today’s society. Not only does it set someone’s persona but it helps set a role model image for those looking up to them.
Leadership is one of the most key things anyone can have. It builds confidence in an individual in any organization, which encourages a professional and positive environment. It is important for society because a person who is a leader sets a great example for those who are struggling. They support others to exceed tasks to benefit them. For instance, I help work football games and clean up the football stadium after games. I also help with holiday services to raise money or food for those in need. With this being said service is greatly looked upon by society. Service is used as a way to help the community. A service could be raising money for a charity or just helping at an event for the people. For example, an organization called “ Bell Ringing” is used to raise money for the Salvation Army. Hello, I’m Caroline Woodle and I feel that I would be a propitious member of National Honor Society. This organization does an incredible job of recognizing students who are leaders in their communities. In my opinion, the most influential part of a person is their character. Activities such as competitive dance, FFA, and youth leadership events continuously reinforce my values of honesty and hardwork. Giving to and inspiring others are two of the most important parts of my life. Numerous Midwest mission trips revealed to me the responsibility and desire I have to serve others. During these work trips, my youth group and I met with dozens of people who had devastating stories of natural disasters that had completely destroyed their homes and…

National Honor Society continues to shape me into an independent, self-sufficient young adult. The four pillars play an important role in my life no matter where I am. For example, whether I’m at work, in school, or on the basketball court, scholarship, service, leadership, and character transform me into a compassionate leader. Furthermore, National Honor Society will also continue to lead me through the rest of my life. As I head off to college, I will always have the traditional values of the four pillars to lean on. While studying in the field of nursing, I can take what I learned and apply it to my everyday life, even when helping others. Hopefully if I am successful, my leadership will rub off on others, transforming their lives as I…
