Assessment of Practicum Program
Finally my 300 hours of On-the-Job-Training is finally done. For two months I learned a lot of things. I had my OJT at Megawide Construction Corporation, Blue Residences Project. I’ve been too caught up in my work as if I were actually a regular employee of the company and as if I were being compensated for may work. It was really a challenging and unforgettable experience for I was having fun my On-theJob-Training during summer. It’s a good preparation and a good start on how to handle pressure on my future job.
Being supervised by my instructor and adviser is a big advantage for me for they can guide me in my work. I am also blessed because I know I am working in a good working environment. The people there are so nice and trying their best to mold us on the best that we can be specially to our supervisors Engr. Rasty and Engr. Dudz for their patience on us and for sharing their knowledge.
March 26, 2012, it was the first day of my OJT. On our first day we had our orientation where we talked about the safety and precautions of the site, history of the company, the polices,codes of conducts, etc. And then Sir Dudz and Mam Pamela route us to the site for us to be familiar with the place, they introduced us to the whole group of Engineers in operations office and as well as to the other department, consultants and sub contractors.
I work on weekdays, my worked covered inspecting rebar works, punch listing of architectural finishes and typing or editing of request letter for concrete pouring, enclosure and stripping.
While I was working on all of those tasks, I am happy that I was able to apply the lessons I have got from my school. Although during those days when my professors were teaching and discussing to us different
