My Paper On The Roswell UFO Case
Throughout this past semester of college, I have had to write many papers, reflections, observations and many others. My writing has improved over the span of the semester; however, I don’t believe it is because of this online course. The MLA information was not up to date with the current 8th edition, often the questions would be worded in a way that was not understandable. Due to this being all online there was no professor for me to be able ask questions when I was confused.

My writing improved through my various other courses this semester. In my history class I had to write a ten-page research paper on the Roswell UFO Case. This helped me to improve my research skills including finding valid sources that related to my topic. It helped

    The following are three essays that I worked on during the semester. Most of it remains the same, while some of my ideas have developed. The only major changes made were redirecting the ideas in the Where is Waldo Now essay. In English 1102 I struggled with a lot, Professor Grant really challenged what I thought I knew about writing. Being that English is my second language, language barriers normally do not reflect in my speech or writing. I felt that this semester really showed me that I still had work to do. Passive voice, comma slices, forming arguments, and grammar are some of the many skills that I worked on during this semester. I attended the Writing Center as often as I could; I also asked questions during office hours. I worked on perfecting these skills in my other classes as well by reading out loud.     My writing has changed a lot in my first-semester essay writing class. I finally took a class that teaches me useful information and how to properly write an essay.     Looking back on the course as a whole, I have learned how to effectively analyze my audience and distinguish and adapt my writing for that audience.
