My Pennfoster Essay
How to balance Penn Foster studies with work and family demands

The biggest challenge for many of us is how to balance our studies, work and family demands. While we want happy fulfilling lives outside of family, work and school, we have to make personal sacrifices in order to be successful in life. Since time is precious, keeping a balance between three worlds can be a challenge. Fortunately, with proper planning, balance is possible. Every day, I have to make choices and manage my time incredibly well in order to be able to balance my online studies, my work and family demands. In my opinion family demands, work and studies balance are a process, not a static achievement. So, it is important to make the decisions selecting careers and jobs, timing dogs, allocating roles and responsibilities etc, which will provide the opportunity for balance. The real task of balance takes place on a weekly and daily basis.
While going to Penn Foster College online to get my associates in Medical Assistant, I also have a husband and animals to take care of everyday. I always try to put my husband first upon other things, and try to be a good wife and good partner to a very understanding loving husband. I am a full time employee at an Oncology clinic. While this takes time away from all that I do, my husband and I saw it as a necessary measure to help ease some of the luxury financial responsibilities we have, between the credit cards, school loan and spending . We are very fortunate to be able to have the extra spending money to go out at least one time a week for a night out on the town for enjoyment.
To help me balance and organize my studies, work and family demands, I bought a daily planner, and use Microsoft email task manager. The daily planner comes in very handy when I am away to schedule personal appointment and I would recommend it for everyone to use either one of the usual resources. It is very practical; so you carry it everywhere you go. It helps you organize

I believe Margaret Drabble’s statement, “Our desire to conform is greater than our respect for objective facts,” to be quite true. Throughout history, people of all ages have wanted to be accepted and belong to a group rather than look at the facts and measure what is true and false. It is very evident in our society today that not only do we want to be accepted and belong, but we also are willing to do whatever it takes, no matter what the consequences turn out to be. I agree with Drabble’s statement and believe that it is true all around the world. If you were to step outside our society and look back at it objectively, I can assure you that you would see evidence of this.…
