My Super Hero
My Favorite Super Hero

Today you may have written your essay on your favorite Marvel or DC super hero. But are they really your hero? Do they save you from danger everyday of your life? Are they there to comfort you in your toughest times? Are they there to keep you safe in your deepest situations? Do they wrap you in there arms when you are feeling lonely and depressed?

I don't think any of the DC or Marvel super hero's can do any of this for you. They are just fantasy role models that we look up to and wish someone in our lives was like that, but there is someone in my life that does all of this and more. My hero is better then Spider Man. He is better then Super Man and is so much better then Batman. My hero saves me from my everyday troubles. He is there to protect me from the bad guys. He flies me up to the highest of heights just so he can see me happy.

My hero stands tall against the evil of the world. He bares the mark of his creator. My hero doesn't have to pretend to be someone he's not. He shows his true identity and is not afraid to be who he is. My hero is the strongest of all hero's. He is the swiftest of all hero's. He is the bravest of all hero's.

My favorite super hero is my dad. My dad is always there for me. He is always loving and caring. He would go through any thing, not just for me but for my whole family. If I could be like any super and have any powers I would choose my dad because he has the most unique powers ever and is better then any Marvel or DC super hero. My dad is my prince charming, and although sometimes it seems that I want to find my own way out of the castle instead of being rescued, I love the fact that someone loves me and wants to save me from the castle and defeat the dragon, because if no one did come to save me, I would feel like no one loved me.

So what I am trying to say, is that if you really think about it, you have your own, personal super hero in your life and don't

“It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no its Superman!” For decades comic book characters such as Superman, The Incredible Hulk, Batman, and Wonder Woman have captured the imaginations of American children and adults alike. “Superheroes,” they have been coined. But these figures only exist in our imaginations. Batman is not really there to save us from villains such as the Joker and the Riddler. Because these heroes are fictional, we are left without real life heroes… or are we? The answer is clearly no. Heroes are all around us. They can be courageous, intelligent, strong or daring, but heroes to me are selfless and brave.…

The Punisher, Robin Hood, Batman, and Superman are some of the characters that we stereotypically constitute as heroes. They are known to fight with courage without fear of death. They destroy the enemy within a blink of an eye. They fight using their own body strength, superpower, or some kind of weapon. They come to the rescue miraculously and leave without a trace. They are mysterious. We are unable to identify who they are underneath the masks and disguises. Yet, we praise them and ignore the real heroes that surround us regularly, ordinarily. “All of us …like to believe that in a moral emergency we will behave like the heroes of our youth, bravely and forthrightly, without thought of personal loss or discredit”. In other words, we are quite oblivious to the ordinary people of the world that are, in fact, the true heroes.…

Superman, Spiderman, and Batman. Everyone knows these super heroes; well I am hoping they do. Regardless, not every hero wares a cape or needs super powers to be considered heroic. Despite the fact anyone can be a hero. I can give some pretty convincing examples; it only takes three simple stories about three boys that sure made the headlines, Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally. They proved that no matter who you are you can be a hero.…

Throughout the challenges that may crumble others, a person must stay persistent and brave, refusing to sway in the wind.
