My Travel Shift
Hi all,

I have a shift tomorrow on, Saturday the 10th, at Brockett Hall and would like you to possibly confirm whether the travel details will be sent today with enough time prior to my shift, so that I am able to prepare for travel for tomorrow. Last Saturday I had been given a shift at Brocket Hall starting at 12:00, I was then given the wrong travel details for an 8:00am start, which had been an honest mistake though worrying, as I had not been given any notice to any changes to my shift and I was unavailable to adapt to these changes.

Following an email stating my confusion and receiving a confirmation in response which stated that the times had been a mistake, I had not received an email, containing the correct travel details for

All though I feel it was a common mistake, I was very worried as I was not informed of the travel details I required, in order to be at the meeting point on time and as this was my meant to be second shift with Evolve, I felt the extra pressure, as I would not like to set a bad image for any employers or the company by being unpunctual, even if it were not fault of my own.
,
Although I was no longer needed, I felt very worried as I was unsure whether I should travel to Brocket Hall without going to the meting point, as I had no idea what time I was meant to be there .

As I have only worked one shift with evolve, I feel that I am still new to the system and although I am aware that It was a mistake, I wish for a little more stability and guidance for future questions or information regarding shifts and concerns, so I am able to meet the expectations of my job role. As a new staff member, I also felt very worried as I did not want to ruin my reputation by being unpunctual or by not following the travel procedures

as I had no idea what time the meeting point was for my actual shift, which meant that I could not plan my travel

Upon arriving at the care home, I shut the door behind me, clocked in using my time card and signed the staff log book which is a requirement of the fire safety policy. Prior to starting my shift, I attended the hand over held in the staff office with closed doors to maintain confidentiality and privacy of the residents. The hand over gives me important changes in the resident's health and social care needs, requirements and procedures that need implementing during the shift.…

“Passengers flying Flight QF563, please be advised that Flight QF563 has been delayed for an hour, we apologise for any inconvenience”, the groans and murmurs from other passengers clearly demonstrated the irritation and anger that was felt by them. The airline we were flying with were one of the most reliable airlines in the world, so the fact that a flight of theirs was an hour delayed had obviously bewildered me, and a number of other people.…

Missing a scheduled appointment may seem like a rather minute infraction but if you think about it and trace it back far enough it has a negative impact on all parties involved it effects the army as a whole, the government, tax dollars, every American and possible most of the population of the planet even if they don’t know it or feel an impact from it on some level even if insignificant it effects civilization as a whole.…

Not all of the learning you do will take place on a course or a lecture, or through the latest textbook. A very large amount of your learning will take place while doing your job. Everything you do at work is part of a process of learning. Even regular tasks are likely to be important for learning because there is always something new each time you do them. A simple task like taking someone a hot drink may result in a lesson – for example, you may find that the person tells you they do not want tea, but would prefer coffee this morning.…

Traditionally men worked and brought home the bacon while women stayed home and took care of the children and the home. This changed when the new liberated independent women became driven towards acquiring a career, caring for the children and balancing domestic work. Thus women started to complain about being exhausted from working, multi-tasking, and solely taking care of the house-hold, while their husbands worked and bring forth a paycheck and think that is efficient enough and his job is pretty much done. ‘’I definitely concur with The Second Shift because this essay most women can really relate to, including me. It filters the contribution of what the husband brings to the house-hold versus the woman. It makes me ponder about why our husbands are letting us become husbands”. The author, Ariel Hochschild demonstrates keen examples and stated factual research from her findings on the percentages of husbands that said they should help out around the house and the ones that actually did, and furious Wives who not only had to work an eight hour shift; but also took care of the house-hold duties and tended to the children. From the author’s eight year research she concluded that failed marriages were not due to alcohol, physical and or mental abuse, infidelity, or financial problems, but due to the lack of domestic assistance from the husband.…
