My Trip To The Bahamas
One day my parents and extended family decided that we were going to Atlantis. I was very excited because, it was going to be my first time going to the Bahamas. One day I wanted to see what made Atlantis so fun. I looked up Atlantis on my computer and I saw this huge slide. I knew that if I could go down the slide I can do some many things like skydiving and rock climbing a mountain. A few days later we got on a plane and flew to the Bahamas. When the whole arrive in Atlantis I saw lots of pools and in the middle of theses pools I see a huge pyramid like that looks like a temple. I knew that riding this slide would be the ultimate goal of the vacation in the Bahamas.
On the first day of the Bahamas I did many things like jet skied and swam with the family. I also ate some chew and flavorsome food that filled up my stomach. My favorite food was the caramelized and savory steak that my parents ordered for me. I was thinking about riding on the slide on my first day, but when I saw the line I knew I could go, because the line was longer than the line to meet Bill Gates. I decide that the best day to go was the next day. When I woke up the next day I started to get a little nervous so I started to ride on childish rides. After finishing riding little kid rides, I went to the city of Bahamas to see what it was like. When

As soon as I start going down it feel like I just jumped out of a plane because it felt like I was free falling. When I was down I was so scared that I couldn’t even find enough courage to even scream. When I got out the slide I started to throw up, but then I realized I did something that many people would never do and attack a very big

I never realized how lucky I was to be granted such a stupendous life until I saw the poverty some people live in. Over the summer, I was fortunate enough to be able to take an ephemeral trip to Nassau, Bahamas. It was much different than I imagined it would be. I remember walking around and almost being frighten to leave my parents sides. There were natives on every street corner trying to con their way into you spending money on their fake product; there were people going through the trash looking for food; there were people sitting on the street with all their belongings tied up to their bicycle street. You could just tell this country was nowhere near as advanced as the United States. It was nothing like the pictures and it got me thinking of the gloomy lives these children will have to grow up in and all the opportunities that they don't have available here.…

It all started about three or four years ago when my friend or as some people may consider her as my sister invited me to go for two weeks to a beach house for the fourth of july with her family. As soon as the sun was up we hit the road for about five or six hours until we finally arrived to cayucos which in this case was next to moral bay where ¨finding dory was filmed¨. As soon as the car stopped we ran out the car and started running towards the ocean as you hear the waves smashing towards each other. Looking up you can see pelicans flying free and the warmness of the sun hugging your skin. After spending time out on the beach xitclalli and I decided that we should go inside and see our bedrooms we…

Although I nearly died, I carry an enduring memory from the trip: the Leap of Faith water slide. At the time, silky-white slides that towered at such angles appalled me. When my turn to ride the harrowing slide arrived, I completely ignored the frivolous rules by sitting straight up on the way down. As I exited the bottom of the slide, my mother and sister sprinted towards me, expressions of fear across their bleached faces. Never did it cross my mind that I put my life in jeopardy, until they reprimanded me for not reading the safety guidelines. “I could have lost you,” my mother exclaimed despite the tears welling up in her…

I've got bad news, I'm afraid I won't be able to go to Bahamas with you after all. What a pity! The doctor has just told me I have to stay in bed for the next three days at least. She says I've got severe respiratory tract infection. I've got temperature, a sore throat and a headache that makes me feel as though there's a tight band around my skull. The medicine the doctor gave me tastes like a poison, and I have to take it four times per day. Still, the body is a wonderful thing and I'm sure I'll make a speedy recovery, and the sooner the better! Enjoy your holiday. I've heard that the food there is…

The summer of 2016, I organized a venturesome trip for my dad and I to share in the Florida Keys during the weekend of our birthdays. Our trip was scheduled for the end of July, which happened to be the hottest and the most chaotic time to go because of lobster season. As a Floridian, I have traveled to many destinations throughout Florida; but never before have I gone as far south as the keys. Recalling the first time I visited the Florida Keys is one of my fondest memories.…

There are several small holes drilled around the shell and one in the center. The holes are to release air that might get caught under the shell. A string was attached into the center hole that winds down into the belly of the turtle and around a spool. The spool is attached to both short ends of the turtle’s shell, with a rubber band that rolls the string around the spool. This is the string that is used like a yo-yo to walk the turtle. The only difference is that you don’t tie the string on your finger.…

A couple years ago my husband and I decided to take our yearly family vacation to the Florida Keys. Ever since we moved to Florida in 2012, our family has fallen in love with the ocean. You could definitely see my oldest son Zane drawn to the ocean becoming very involved with the sea’s complex ecosystem that provided endless hours of entertainment. Zane was able to easily memorize multiple species of fish and coral. He continued studying the ocean taking several advanced marine biology and oceanography classes. He would always jump at the chance to apply his knowledge and teach those around him about the ocean. When we go to the beach together and discover a new fish Zane will explain the unique characteristics of that fish. Zane would dive underwater to point something out just so he could come up and explain to me what he had discovered. Everyone is always…

After we were all on the boat we had to go through a beautiful inlet that lead out into the ocean. We were then instructed on how put our life jackets and harnesses on. The instructor decided that I was going to be the first one to go up in the air. I made my way to the front of the boat and sat down on the deck so he could hook the parachute to my harness. Without a warning he let the parachute go and then I was ascending up into the air almost felt like the speed of light! As I was going up, he shook the line to scare me. Finally when I reached 500 feet, I could see the shore line. It was a breath taking view. I could see giant sea turtles and I even saw a shark. I was in the air about 30 minutes. Then I started descending down. When I was close to the boat, he dunked me into the same water where I had just moments earlier seen the shark and the sea turtles.…
