My schedule has before been that on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays I have class from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. On Tuesdays, and Thursdays I don’t have School. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 4:00 P.M. To 10:00 P.M. Was time consisted of eating, watching TV and being …show more content…
on Social Media. Since I didn't have class Tuesday and Thursday I would sleep in and wake up to do chores, exercise, and help out my brother with cooking from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. From 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. I would just sit down and watch tv. At 6:30 P.M. I would start on my school assignments and stop at 9:00 P.M. My new schedule now is that every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school was go home and at 4 P.M., would be time that I managed to make it my goal to do my assignments. After working on my Assignments I would relax my brain by watching one of my favorite show which is New Girl. Afterwards I got done with one episode of New Girl, I would then start on my new school Assignment. After completing some of my Assignments was 8 P.M. I would look into all my social media and get on favorite app which is Tumblr. Tumblr I use to distract me from stressing out and to help me decompress. Every Tuesday and Thursday from the time I wake up which is at 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Is complete the remainder of my homework assignments that I didn't finish the day before. After being done, I was free to do my chores, exercise, relax, and just enjoy my day.
Yes, there was a great difference between my managed and unmanaged time.
The difference between them both were that it needed time to plan out the week, but managing my time was most positively affected. It offered better results in my class with class assignments being completed. Comparing my managed time to my unmanaged time there was a negative effect. When I had no managed time I held no real control completing tasks. Having no time appeared to end quickly due to being distracted, like being on social media.
The hardest part of sticking with my schedule was maintained strong, constant willpower to continue the plan. Some other hard part was fighting the temptation to slack off by wanting to watch a movie or hanging out with friends. Although, I had a hard time being on track with completing my assignments I reminded myself that no matter how long time I had to wait I still need to complete the assignments. I tried my best avoiding social media during the day, avoided texting my friends when I got home. Fundamentally, I tried pushing what I know would keep me distracted and lose
focus.
To avoid distractions what I do now is put my phone in my parents room. I'll go back and get my phone when I am halfway done with my planned assignments, but I do take a break to check for any important missed calls, or messages, and when I’m done I go back to finish the last half of my assignment. What I could’ve done differently to better follow my planned schedule is prepare myself a day before by going over the class objectives for the week. Also, what I could of done was write my assignments on a planner for each class day. Another thing that I would do to better my day is to wake up early in a positive and good attitude.
I learned for myself that I was able to use critical thinking to plan my week, and rethink if that plan was the best plan for me to stick to. As well, I learned that my brain can play with one's motivation. I was able to learn a lot from this experience. What I learned from this experience was that I can challenge myself and succeed with getting more than one path to my goals. Planning my week made me realize how organize a day can go and when it does go as planned, it feels good I ended my week with less stress, because I was able to complete the assignments that were given. Also completing the tasks on time, made me really proud of myself because I was able to carry through the week as planned.
