My Writing Experience

The meaning of writing to me is to put my ideas and thoughts in to words in a logical order that is easy to understand and comprehend. My experience of writing during my life is not too extensive. But clearly I can write about the knowledge I got in high school and also in the university in my country. The other part of my experience writing began when I moved to United States and learned English.
I remember when I was taking Literature class in high school, I had to read different kinds of books such as novels, poetry or essays, from different authors for example, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Garcia Lorca, and Juan Rulfo. After each reading I had to summarize the book by chapters. I learned new techniques to write, I learned new vocabulary,

During the school year I read an average of eight books. All the knowledge I received in Literature class helped me to write reports in other subjects. For Example history, philosophy or biology. For each subject I had to do reports about activities during class. I had to search about specific topic and then I had to write about, I investigated giving conclusions and results. Always I had to put in a specific order all my knowledge for finish a good project, another important experience for writing in high school was when I took democracy class. I had to write a essays about political problems that happened at that moment. Or give an opinion about important news in the government. All this experience gave me a good base to start
Every language has rules and is necessary to follow them. The experience I got from high school, and university give me a base for learning English. I feel very proud of myself because I am learning a second language and eventually I can use this knowledge in my job, with my kids, and any time during my life.
