Myers Briggs Personality Test Examples
This semester in my Interpersonal Leadership class I have learned a lot about myself that were already pointed out towards me but never really never pay any attention to. We have taken several different inventories and personality test. For example in the Myers Briggs Personality (I think this would be my favorite test )test that I have a INFP stands for introvert, iNtutive, feelings, and perceiving. When breaking them down into percentages 50% introvert,22% iNtutive, 28% feelings and 27% perceiving.
As I read the results it was explained in detail what each one of them mean. As it is explained the first letter which is I it stated that “You have a moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion”. The second letter N means you have a slight preference of Intuition over sensing. The third letter F meaning I tend to over think. Last letter P is perceiving over judgement. In way I kind believe my results are true especially about the feeling part because my family always would say “I overthink things and let my emotional ruin things in my life.”

The way I was tormented it I truly wanted to just not get out the bed in the morning . I did not become the person I am today until I got to high school and joined the marching band. Joining the marching band in high school and in college gave me confidence, it let me open up, it helped with weight gain and it gave me some of my closes friends in the world. Its helps with discipline and helped with my stress. In band they often use the term “crab” meaning first year marching student, showing the potential to become a section leader or co-section leader .     The historical backdrop of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) began with Carl Jung, the organiser of analytical psychology. Jung believed that individuals are either stimulated by the outer world (Extraversion) or their own inner world (Introversion). In the same way Jung observed individuals took in data (Perceiving) or organise data and frame a conclusion (Judging). Additionally Jung noted that individuals mostly demonstrate a dominant part. In this way, in 1921, Jung distributed Psychological Types in which he displayed the thought of Jungian models (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Manual, 2012). Isabel Myers-Briggs developed the MBTI in the 1920s based on Jung’s theoretical constructs with an additional two dimensions of styles of living, consisting of a fourth scale that measures perceiving and judging (Myers, McCaully, Quenck, & Hammer, 2003; Mullins, 2005; Schreuder & Coetzee, 2011).
