The type of health care needs catered for is regardless of socio economic statuses of individuals. (World health organisation, 2007).
The national health institute is implemented under basic ethical considerations such as fairness, and is consistent with the global vision that health care should be seen as a social investment and therefore should not be subjected to market forces where it is treated as a normal commodity of trade. (World health organisation, 2007). To date, the NHI has managed to deliver free health care services to people of low socio economic class, or provided health services to individuals who couldn’t afford to pay for them at a particular moment.
