National Honor Society Research Paper
The National Honor Society is a society for leaders and has been established since 1921 .I too, am a leader in society and feel that my leadership accomplishments and goals would reflect off NHS. It is a privilege to receive an invitation to become part of the academic leaders of Willingboro High School. I would love to be a part of the National Honor Society because it will give me more opportunities to be a leader, participate in community service, and to help and influence the people around me. As you see, the goals of the NHS and my goals are both similar. I would be proud to be a member of the NHS and would serve the Society to the best of my ability. When I received the invitation, it gave me a new insight of my projects, worksheets,
and quizzes. I felt an inspiration that if I continue to get outstanding grades, there’s an award at the end of the road. I have done many activities in the course of two years. I have participated in Chess Club, TPC Choir, and MVP for both my sophomore and freshman year. For my Freshman year, I did Track. This year, I did Marching band and I’m currently doing Concert Band and Heritage. I would’ve done Track for another year but I like trying new things. I also done things for the community as well. During my 9th grade year, My church and I went to Philadelphia to give food and clothes to the homeless people for more than three hours. This was the first time that I gave food to the needy and I discovered that I have a lot of empathy towards them. Each and every person in my church had a role in the planning and organization of the event, and we had to work both individually as leaders, and as a team .My choir also went to a nursing home with my choir to sing to senior citizens for their entertainment for 2 hours. Due to my abilities and previous experience, I can be considered a valuable candidate because I demonstrate the qualities of leadership, scholarship, service, and character. I also feel that if I am fortunate enough to earn membership in the NHS, I would do nothing to destroy the reputation and respect that the National Honor Society has.
