Neverland
I slowly come to my senses. I feel wet, hot, and sandy. I try to roll over to remove my face from its uncomfortable position on the beach, only to find my body paralyzed by some sort of incredible weight on my back.
After an uncertain amount of time, I feel the weight lifted and a familiar voice whisper in my ear, “troll.” An automatic grimace appears on my face, as I turn my glaring eyes toward Brendan.
“Shut up, Gill,” I croak, but then realize what this means, “Brendan! Oh my God, you’re alive!” I jump to my feet. My head starts spinning, and I black out again.

“We were starting to get…”
I didn’t let Bethy finish. “Taro! I found Taro, guys! Come on!” I lead them back to the clearing, grabbing one of the half-filled water bottles on the way. We take turns rowing in groups of two, using the oars we crudely sculpted from palm trees.
The fog settles around us as the sun slowly starts to rise on the morning of September 23rd. Brendan sits on his knees on the front left corner of the raft and mindlessly pushes and pulls the oar in and out of the water. I repeat his actions on the opposite side. Everyone else is sleeping, limbs strewn all over in precarious positions.
As the fog begins to clear, and the bright sun breaks through the clouds, Taro starts to wake up and stretch, and in doing so, accidentally pushes a sleeping Nick off the raft. Nick wakes up, disoriented, just as he rolls into the water. Taro jumps into save him, waking up Stef and Bethy with a splash. To our delighted surprise, Nick and Taro stand up laughing in the water, waist
