I believe that nixon should have been pardoned by Ford. The first reason I believe that he should be pardoned is because the country already had many problems. One of the problems with the country was racism which needed to be at an end or at least addressed. Another problem was the recovering of the states after vietnam and economic issues. The second reason I believe in his pardoning is Nixon already had paid a price for the crime. Many people liked him in office and he had support and he had to give it all up so it was enough punishment.
