Nursing Leadership Reflection Paper
This paper will discuss the topics that are of found throughout this course that appear to be most interesting as well as those that appear to be least interesting. This paper will describe why this author feels these topics are interesting and why she feels they may not be interesting. Additionally, this author will describe a recent real-world event that relates to this course. This nursing leader is looking forward to learning how to apply the knowledge gained from this course to her current role as well as learning how to be a more effective and efficient nursing leader. This author feels that this course will be very beneficial and is excited to learning how to become a stronger more educated nursing leader.
Topics of Most Interest Module number three appears to be a very interesting section. This author feels that she can benefit from learning how to become more effective and reach excellence in nursing leadership through leaning how to apply emotional intelligence. Learning techniques that will develop skills on how to appropriately supervise oneself as well as learning how to relate to others will be very beneficial to this nursing leader. Additionally, learning how to motivate people, develop their skills, and becoming a successful leader is very appealing to this author

This module focuses on team building and coaching techniques that will assist in building a string nursing leadership team. The nurse executive is responsible to developing his or her teams by setting goals that are based off the organizational goals. He or she is accountable for creating change in a positive direction both in finance and in direct patient care arenas.     I had the chance to observe and learn what a nurse leader does on a daily base on a busy cardiovascular surgical step-down floor.     As we develop into leaders, one of the things we need to know is what it means to be a servant leader. Today such examples are greatly lacking. Servant leadership is a choice by a leader to follow the example of The Jesus Christ and The Mother Teresa and lead by serving, becoming a bondservant and giving his life for others.
