The fourth chapter named Research Methodology explains the type of research used, the different types of data used, the sample size, the way in which the data is collected, tools and techniques used and the framework of the study are included in this chapter. The two types of data used are primary and secondary data. From the population the size of the sample chosen and the sampling techniques are mentioned in the chapter. The statistical tools used to analyze the data and the framework is explained. The model created is also included.

The study tries to find out whether the interference is affecting job and family satisfaction. Factors interfering from family life to work are given importance in the study to find out the satisfaction of women employees. Then supporting factors are considered like the superior support, co-worker support and family-friendly policies to find out whether these factors have any significance in reducing the impact of the family interferences into work life. Study tries to understand the effective supporting factor among the three cultural factors mentioned above. Through this study it can be estimated whether the work to family interference act as a mediator between job satisfaction and family satisfaction. In the same way mediating effect of family-work interference between family satisfaction and job satisfaction is also considered in this study. This kind of study will help to find out whether interference from work to family is more or from family to work is more among women employees working in information technology companies. An understanding of the moderating factors will be helpful for the companies while considering work-life balance
