Obligation: An Analysis Of The Libra Constellation
A constellation is a group of stars forming a recognizable pattern that is traditionally named after its form. The Libra constellation is just one of the twelve zodiac constellations. In Latin the word Libra means “the weighing scales”, which is normally depicted as the scales held by Astraea, the Roman Goddess of justice. The Libra constellation to me depicts the balance between the good and bad in humanity. I believe that while trying to make decisions based on the impact of their outcome, there must be a balance within the fine line of good and evil. While evaluating the outcome of situations, the scales will let one know that their decision is morally right or not.

The Roman Goddess of justice is said to have lived on earth, mingling

I have chosen the constellation Cassiopeia: The Seated Queen. I chose this constellation because it was an unknown constellation to me until I studied the first lesson of Astronomy. The name Cassiopeia: The Seated Queen sparked my interest, and so I decided to find more information about this fascinating constellation. Cassiopeia is located in the Northern sky and is easily recognizable by its distinctive "M" shape. It is made up of five stars, the four brightest of which are: Alpha Cassiopeia, Beta Cassiopeia, Gamma Cassiopeia, and Delta Cassiopeia. It is bordered by Andromeda to the south, Perseus to the southeast, and Cepheus to the north. It is opposite the Big Dipper.…

My favorite animals are owls and wolves. So, when I found that there were no constellations of owls (there should be, though, in my opinion), I chose the constellation of the wolf, or Lupus. This constellation also reminds me of Professor Lupin, who was also my favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in the Harry Potter books. I think that J. K. Rowling intended that to be, since Lupus means Wolf in Latin. Lupus can be found between the constellations of Centaurus and Scorpius. The Lupus constellation is home to some remains of a supernova, some globular clusters, and the Retina Nebula. It also contains two stars that have planets.…

The Birthmark shows allegory meaning the characters are symbols that represent something. For an example, Alymer is what a dependent mind might be and the dangers of scientists. He believes that the world is flawless; that everything is perfect. His obsession with perfection got worse when he married Georgina. The small birthmark on her cheek made Alymer so desperate to remove it. He thinks about it a lot, “With the morning twilight Aylmer opened his eyes upon his wife's face and recognized the symbol of imperfection; and when they sat together at the evening hearth his eyes wandered stealthily to her cheek, and beheld, flickering with the blaze of the wood fire, the spectral hand that wrote mortality where he would fain have worshipped.” It…

In group communications theory, there are labeling terms for each contributing member of the group, and how the group interacts among one another - the result is group communication. These contributing factors of situation, goals, roles, norms, and cohesiveness make up the constellation of variables. The film 12 Angry Men depicts the constellation of variables. In the film, twelve jurors in a hot room, forced to deliberate the fate of a man accused of murder. The group comes together in an uncomfortable environment and when one of twelve jurors stands against the group, voting not-guilty for reasonable doubt, there is immediate hostility. The meaning of The Statue of Liberty is Liberty Enlightening the World and is an enormous neoclassical monument in New York Harbor on Liberty Island. It was designed by the Frederic Bartholdi and it is a figure of female. The female represents the Roman Goddess of Freedom, Libertas, who puts up with a tablet inducing the law (tabula ansata) and a torch. When you look at it, I can feel it tells me a lots of things: "Liberty, freedom, power to take on the world. And win." On the tabula ansata, 4th July, 1776, the American Declaration of Independence date is emblazoned. At the feet of the Statue of Liberty lies a broken chain. The term symbolism in its broadest sense means the use of an object to stand for something other than itself. In The Stone Angel, Margaret Laurence uses the stone angel to sybmolize the Currie family values and pride and in particular, the pride and cold personality traits of Hagar Shipley. There are three primary areas where the stone angel is used to symbolize characters in the novel. They are: the Currie family pride as a symbol of egoism and materialism, Hagar’s lack of compassion for her family and friends as symbolized by a heart of stone, and Hagar’s blindness to the feelings and needs of the others as symbolized by the blindness of the angel.…
