THESIS PROJECT PROPOSAL Name of Proponents: Bitun, Mary Jean P. De Guzman, Marnelle Z. School Year/ Trimester: 2011-2012 3rd Trimester Proposed Title: “Online Booking of St. Peter Parish” Area of Investigation Computerization is a control system that manages processes in industrial workplace. It reduces human errors and processing time, thus it can boost productivity and resulted into high quality of product produce. In information system, computerization is concerned about interrelating different but interdependent transactions. With the aid of interviews, researches, surveys and keen observations, proponents discover problems such as information redundancy and manual computations that will cause errors in data. On the other hand, we also notice that the data’s of the company is not organized and updated. Some of their records are lost due human negligence. This can cause inaccurate information to the existing system that St. Peter Parish is using. These problems are the cause for the proponents to design a public figured website for their company with an automated booking method. Reason of Choice Formulating and proposing such infrequent yet functional system takes several times for us to come upon this proposed title. We spent several hours thinking of a possible problem that needs solution, existing systems that needs further improvisation and creativeness. We choose to build up this kind of system not just to have a proposal and compliance for this subject but to help and improve the existing method used of St. Peter in their unreliable manual booking transactions. Importance of the Study The researchers intended to enrich and upgrade the existing methods and system used by St. Peter by developing a public figured website which is incorporated with an automated booking system that can help their work easier, efficient and reliable. The system when completed would be included by reliable and accurate databases that would serve
