Greatness is gauged in many ways
However, when it is assessed with the encumbrance of seventy years of magnificent antiquity
Subsequently excellence becomes its very soul
The Orange Bowl was not built with greatness in mind
If this building could talk
What stories would it say

The orange Bowl was more than a field
Dreams were born
Miamians fell in love with sport for the first time
Families met to laugh and cry
The Orange Bowl was ours, but it was too good, to keep to ourselves
So we lent it to the rest of the country from time-time so others could experience its majesty

The war chants starting at one end
The U of M chants at the other
Wide right so many times
Yet when it came time to dethroning a defending champion
The kick was wide left
