I had a certain interest and that happened to be science. Science would always make me feel wiser and more intelligent compared to my classmates. As I grew older, my interest in science grew stronger as well. When I was twelve years old, I started watching these crime shows on Television such as “Bones” “CSI” and “Criminal Minds”. I realized I wanted to be apart of the Criminal Justice Department such as Forensic Photography and knew if I ever participated in that …show more content…
position, it would be life changing in a pleasing way. When I hit age fourteen, I would always photograph images around my neighborhood or whatever I had come across. In the 8th grade, my class focused on science for an entire semester. When we needed to take the PSAT, I scored advanced and I could not have been happier, I was proud of what I had accomplished. When I reached my freshman year of highschool, I let myself down by failing three of my classes which happened to be Math, Science, and English.
Knowing that I did not pass those classes encouraged a part of me to retake those classes and gain my credits back in order to graduate high school. I am currently a sophomore and I have a 3.0 GPA. Next year when I am a junior, I plan on motivating myself to be prepared when it comes to senior year and adulthood. The past year I had shaped myself into a better person who cares about grades, my education, and my future. Everyday I am inspired to keep moving forward when it comes to school academics. Forensic Photography is one of the most important aspects of a crime scene. However, as much experience as possible in police work, forensics, crime scene investigation and photography can make an applicant more competitive. Training as a professional crime scene photographer will require understanding the different aspects of crime scene investigation and learning about the types of photos that need to be taken to document clues and details. Later on, the photographer can be used in the investigation and prosecution efforts. Forensic Photographers will often take place at the crime scene while it is still active so I
will need to know not to damage any evidence when it comes to the investigation. The reasons I would like to pursue in Forensic Photography are because I would like to learn about the specifics of crime scene investigations and to learn how the photos can be used to document evidence. This career provides science, law and photography. Forensic Photography is often learned on the job. Having a strong academic background in criminal justice and crime scene investigation techniques is the best way to begin the pursuit of this interesting and unique career that I am interested in. I strongly believe this career is right for me because this has always been my dream to take part in the Criminal Justice Department and to take place as a Forensic Photographer. I will achieve this career for not only my loved ones, but for myself as well.
