A. Pascals Triangle Aim: To study Pascal’s Triangle and its properties. Study the numbers in the balloons. What patterns do you see in the arrangement of the numbers? Describe each pattern using words and symbols.
As you look for patterns, answer the following questions: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Give the History and Indian context of the Triangle How has the triangle been constructed? Can you predict the next row of numbers? If yes, write out the triangle upto 10 rows. Add the numbers in each row. Is there a pattern in the sums of these numbers? Do any numbers repeat? Can you find a pattern in the diagonal numbers? Discuss in detail at least five more properties that you observe. You may use the ones given below. a) The sum of the numbers in any row is 2n, when n is the number of rows.
