Painting Analysis: Nighthawks By Edward Hopper

The people in general and especially the artists can communicate all kinds of feelings without saying a word. Painting, sketching, or sculpting artist shows their own perspective of this world. In a painting call Nighthawks by Edward Hopper, we can analyze the sensations and impressions of the painting. When I first saw it, I noticed the mood of sadness and a kind of mystery. While analyzing it in a deeper way with my partner, we discover that there was a lot of loneliness and isolation in this painting because although there are four people in the painting they are not talking between each other instead they are drinking in the middle of the night to, in my point of view, forget their trouble. The contrast in color makes a colossus difference
in the meaning of the art piece contrasting the natural darkness of the night with the only visible light of the bar the people are in making us think the only people that are awake in the city at that time are the four people in the painting. While analyzing this painting I discover that we could analyze a painting and keep getting more and more points of view of an artwork. I was surprised also in how the artists can make us catch the meaning of the artwork in our first impression and while analyzing we curve our point of view a little be, but with the same starting point.
