spice of life, it gives you energy and excitement for the day ahead. Adding passion into your job might make you thrive for that promotion or get that work done in your office instead of at home.
Another figure in history is George washington. For one, He was so passionate about his cause and his country, he went to war for them and led an army against the country he grew up in, the country that made him famous.Throughout the revolutionary war he constantly sacrificed his food rations for his soldiers so that they could fight stronger and faster because he believed in what he was doing and wouldn’t give up till he succeeds. In the movie GOAL Santiago Munez is a young boy who has a passion for playing soccer.
He played in the streets with a tape ball and some shoes for goals. Eventually he is discovered by a big time club in England, but even then he struggles. He never gives up though, and continues to work hard and become a better player and eventually he turns into a star player for the club. If he didn’t have passion, then he wouldn’t have become what he is now. He could have given up and joined his dads lawn company after he failed to impress the coach. Passion can drive us to go to that next level, to want to work extra hard even after everybody else quit and goes home. In one scene, Santiago is seen by the coach shooting after practice after he missed a pk in a reserve game. He didn’t quit and thrived on his passion to give him extra strength. His passion for the game was his key characteristic and that created a player that could not be
stopped Another example of people who had passion were the disciples of Jesus. They picked up everything and left to follow him because they believed in what he was doing. The passion to teach the word of God to people around the world was something that couldn’t be taken away from them. In one story they had 3 fish and 1 loaf of bread, but they trusted in Jesus and he provided for all of the people he was preaching too. If they didn’t have passion in Jesus and his ways, then they surely would have left him because they would’ve believed he was a fake prophet. See passion leads to an extra work ethic, emotions of pride, joy and sadness, but it also leads to trust. If you have a passion in a person and you believe in what they’re doing then it can lead to trust.
Passion also changes peoples perspective on events. If you are passionate about football you tend to get more excited about something such as the super bowl compared to somebody that maybe does dance. Passion is a gamechanger in terms of your moods and perspective. Life can be so boring and gray sometimes. In the case we take a look at the life of my grandpa. He went to college to become a salesman back in the 1970’s. He worked in a suite all day and drove around all of michigan looking to sell products. His car never had air conditiong and he couldn’t roll down his windows because it would mess up his greased hair. It was torture for him and he didn’t enjoy it, so he quit. He ended up becoming a coke driver. He was a coke driver for 40 years driving back and forth every morning to deliever coke to chicagoland and all the restraunts around and he loved it and was passionate about it. Even though he woke up at 4am every morning he didn’t care because he loved to do it. He always told me that there’s nothing like driving into chicago with the sunrise in the background. He found the little things to enjoy and that created a passion for him and one that would last for 40 years after he started.
In conclusion, Passion can’t be described by one theory or sentence. Passion is such a varitety of things but i’ve tried to sum it up in this paper. In the first paragraph i demonstrated how passion is power and physical. It calls you to do something you wouldn’t normally do. In paragraph two, I talked about how passion is emotional and driving. It turned santiago munez into a world class soccer player months after he was cutting peoples lawn for minimum wage. In paragraph three i talked about how passion is trust and belief in something greater than yourself. The desicples follow jesus all the way till the end because they trusted him and believed in him and the things he was doing. Finally i talked about how passion is desire and love for the things you do and how it can spice up your life. My grandpa was livng a bland, boring life with no excitement till he found his calling and had a passion for it. He thrived in that business because he was passionate about it. The end of this paper has made me come to the conclusion that passion is not one thing and cannot be controlled. It is not obtanied but felt, not heard about but seen, it doesn’t smell but you can taste it, passion is the spice of life.
