Pay It Forward Movie Examples

The movie, Pay it Forward by Mimi Leder does not directly relate to being a Christian, more so it’s about the virtues of being a Christian. For example in the movie, Trevor, the main protagonist, showed fortitude, selflessness, and courage. This all starts on the first day of school for Trevor, when his social studies teacher Mr. Simonet gives an assignment to his students. The assignment was to change the world; Trevor took that assignment to the test. Trevor came up with an idea called, “Pay it forward.” It was a system where he would help out 3 people, and those 3 people would help another 3 people with hard tasks. There were a few examples of Trevor using this system to help the people in need. The first example of Trevor displaying an example of being a Christian is when he lets a random homeless man into his house and feeding him some cereal and providing him a place to stay. Trevor was on his way home from school when he saw a bunch of homeless men starving and cold, so he felt bad and let him in. This is an example
Another example of Trevor displaying a good virtue is when he stands up for the kid that was getting bullied, but eventually getting stabbed right in the gut. This is an excellent example of fortitude because Trevor had the courage to stand up for the bullied kid and Trevor went in there like a man and stood up for that kid. Even though it ended very badly with him getting stabbed, everything turned good as the movement Pay it Forward spread across America and mourned Trevor’s death. To sum is all up, The movie Pay it Forward is an amazing example of displaying a good Christian although the movie itself was not Christian, it was compared to the Good Samaritan story because Trevor had the fortitude to help those in need, and it also showed some of the beatitudes such as Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see
