When signing up to be an organ donor you usually think only your major organs will be used; however, something as small as a ligament of yours is used in popular surgeries such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions. When someone tears their ACL they usually have a choice to have an autograft, or use one of their own ligaments, but they can also choose to have an allograft, or take a cadaver’s ligament to repair it. Each has it’s advantages and disadvantages, but I personally think that the better option is the allograft because I think the advantages are better than using your own ligament from another part of your body. The advantages consist of faster operative time, less post-operative pain, and a faster recovery time.…

Hello, Tristen! On my post I didn't even to think to reference to the tax increases that could take place. It is true that there is limit that people are willing to pay as far as taxes go. Also another aspect I didn't think of was tuition. I said in mine that more cuts would mean that there would be a difference in the number of people who attend college when the cuts are made, however, I put in mine that it would go the other way. I don't disagree with your post though. I do still agree with the points that you made! I think education is an important aspect in society, and lower attendance would not be a good thing for our society.…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

It is known and assumed that these laws were a result from the agitation of well-intentioned reformers who wanted to protect children from abuses of employers and parents and from peoples all knowing ignorance. ‘While the historical background to this legislation and the reinforcing social attitudes are important to the understanding of current policies, the historical motivation or intent should not prevent their periodic reevaluation”5. It is best to say that from the information in this study is not aimed at children at all, but it is aimed at the impact of child labor laws on teenagers, mainly in regards to labor market options. The current picture age of a teenager is under eighteen someone whose major occupation is a student. There are many teens under the age of eighteen looking for work and that are will to work anywhere just to make some money. There is clearly his is not a perception that would have been popular one hundred years or more ago. Most teenagers of high school age, one hundred years ago, would not have been enrolled in high school; only about 2% of the high school-age of teen population completed high school. Those teenagers would have been doing some sort of hard work activities. “One hundred years ago,…
