It’s a discourse community that requires years of discipline, and studying. I will observe different doctors on each visit, and compare of their work ethics differ from one another. How much time does each doctor spend with the patient? What was the behavior the patient displayed when talking with the doctor? Does the doctor try to show any attachment to the patient themselves? Or do they have a way of separating their emotions? Do they bring any personal stories when talking a shy patient (since the majority of patients are small children I assume they’re shy to talk at all)? Or does the parent do most of the talking? Simply because within the community, there’s a subculture of what each doctor specializes in. I will be focusing on a group of doctors who specializes in the care of children. Since they specialize in this field their ways of communication can be different from doctors that specialize something different, also within one another when discussing about a patient, if not something else that is outside of their job. I believe it’s an interesting group to investigate since we don’t know what doctors generally do once they have cleared a patient. We can infer that they are fussy people, but I recognize there’s more to it than merely coming to work, check on patients, give medications and then time
