Pee Wee In Hockey Research Paper
This will be the best year ever because I will be a Pee-Wee in hockey. Hockey has been my favorite sport since third grade. Now that I’m in Pee-Wee’s though, I have some new goals. My Pee-Wee goals include getting three goals and getting a shutout as goalie. One way to get goals in hockey is to stay in front of the net. If the puck is in the opposite corner as you, you can wait for your team to pass it to you in front of the net. That’s how I got my goal last year. A shutout is when you are goalie and you don’t let any shots go through. I almost got one but they scored with one minute and eight seconds left. My team has lots of amazing people on it. About half of the kids on my team are on the travel team, which you try out

Fastpitch is more than a team, it is a family. In or out of the field, everyone knows how to connect with one another. Despite that the fastpitch lost many seniors last year, the underclassmen have stepped it up to fill in those spots.Freshman Megan Bellusci says “ a little bit nerve racking, but it is a lot of fun, and I can look up to anyone to help me out if I have questions.” Everyone is super supportive with one another, even if they lose or win. Sophomore Lauren Rassmessen says “ we build each other up, work together very well, we are all good friends, and even before a game we keep each other pumped up.” The Fastpitch team has created an amazing bond with one another. They have two enthusastic co captains, Shelby Starkovich, and Emily…

My coaches and my team members did everything they could to make me feel apart of the team, they made sure I knew of practice times, meet times, and team bonding. I showed up at every meet to cheer my team on, and still connect with the existing team members and the new girls. At the end of the year banquet, my coaches presented me with the most spirited award. Staying connected with my team, and not letting an injury cause me to fade away from my favorite sport and my favorite group of people became my biggest priority. The true dedication to my team is what won me most spirited and made me feel connected to my team.…

Shoulder fake left, head fake right, a sweet inside outside move, and he fires it in top shelf, beating the goalie glove side to win the game. While that may sound like a narrative of a game-winning hockey goal, in reality, it is 1:30 AM on your average Thursday night and I am struggling to find the perfect concluding sentence to finish my history term paper. Often when I am struggling to find an answer to a question or need to concentrate on any given topic, I reach for my worn-out Warrior hockey stick and my dusty orange ball and begin to stickhandle mindlessly. One might never know, that my mind is far away from hockey as I look like a complete fool deking (hockey term for getting past people) imaginary people on my way to an imaginary net.…

I never decided to be a part of a team because I knew I wasn’t athletic and I was very clumsy considering the number of times I've fallen when I ran in my physical education classes. As for clubs and organization, I started to be a part of the AVID program in seventh grade through senior year of high school. Joining the AVID program was my idea because I wanted to gain a better understanding of college. Since my parents never attended, they didn’t know the process of enrolling in college and other factors. The reason I stayed in AVID for so long wasn't just because of the field trips to colleges but also becoming a part of a family with my classmates and getting to know everyone, even more, every year.…

Playing Ice Hockey was a burning passion of mine. It all started in the cold and dense locker room. Practice had just finished up and we were inside the locker room getting undressed. I was a forward on the team and was only ten years old. The team goalie was sick and was not going to be able to make our game the next day. Coach asked “Is anyone willing to play goalie for our game?” and I, the young ten year old boy I was; was the first person to quickly respond saying “I will!” Playing goalie was destined for me, I was a star and very talented.…

My most significant experience in working as a part of team occurred when I was apart of the softball team. Without my teammates I wouldn’t have learned all that I know now about softball today. I was familiar with the softball players. We helped each other improve, whether it was with running, practicing drills, catching, or throwing. We never left a teammate behind. During practices we all ran as a team. During games we also chanted when the batter hit the ball. With out my team I wouldn’t have been as good as a softball player. So to me with teamwork come new friends and wonderful coaches.…

Children tend to go out for sports to make friends, improve relationships, become better at the sport, and to stay in shape. No matter what the reason is when you join the sport, you will find out that you gained numerous friends over the course of the season. As every sports season comes around the corner, you can visualize how close people on the same teams grow. At our high school, people eat with their teams, lift with their teams, practice with their teams, and play with their teams. The environment is set up to create friendships. Being a senior in high school, I have had the opportunity to participate in multiple team sports. Throughout my high school experience, I have noticed is that the teams who grow the closest, have the greatest success. One piece of evidence is our soccer team. When I came into high school, we had the opportunity to meet new coaches. Coach Garza and Coach Javi, the soccer coaches, are no doubt, the best coaches I have ever had the chance to be taught by. They both possess the rare trait of being able to bond kids together. The soccer team I am on has the strongest bond I have ever seen. Since I joined the team as a freshman, we have made two consecutive state trips, which were the first and second in school history. We also achieved the runner-up status in the championship game. If there were one trait I could relate our success to, it would be the bond we share as a…

Over the years, I've cheered for multiple teams. Furthermore, all of the teams I have been on are filled with unique and diverse people. However, the most important thing is that you can trust all of your team mates. Trust is vital for all teams that you are a part of. Whether it is football, basketball, lacrosse, et cetera. If the team doesn't have trust, regardless of talent, it will not be a winning team. Everyone is at risk during any time while cheerleading to be injured and you have to trust everyone around you that they will try their best to keep you and themselves as safe as possible. Also, when you are on a team, you get the chance to become closer to the people who are around you. You get to practice with your team, you compete with your team, and you perform with your team. Sooner or later you end up closer than you once were. That is my favorite part of being on a team. Normally, by the end of a season you all have grown to be a cheer family that are still going to be close even after the season is…
