I am very excited for the opportunity to be a part of the National Honor Society. I look forward to helping others in our school and throughout the community. I feel this opportunity would be great for both me and the community.…
My team has lots of amazing people on it. About half of the kids on my team are on the travel team, which you try out…
As President of FBLA you must be a well rounded, organized, and motivated individual. You have to have interpersonal skills and you have to be confident while still being compassionate. Being given this opportunity is something that I do not take for granted, because I believe that I am meant to help others through this role. In the past our chapter has been a very stagnant chapter and I plan to change this. Currently we are planned to host our high school's first Thanksgiving canned food drive. We will be donating these goods to the people in need in our community. This Christmas, we plan to do a "giving tree" (combined with FCCLA) and then donate the clothing we receive. We are also going to do a Christmas basket project this winter. This…
I am already involved in mostly all FFA activities and I am willing to do more. I am very dedicated to FFA and the program. Agriculture is my life and future and FFA is helping me expand my talents in many areas. I can make a difference on the chapter and its members by volunteering ideas, participating and including the members, helping others and the chapter, being a leader, staying involved, encouraging others to join and participate in FFA, and make the community aware of the FFA chapter’s events/accomplishments and to get them involved.…
FFA is something that I love. I have been in a leadership position for the last three years as a class officer, Washington County Junior Livestock Association officer and FFA officer. I believe my purpose in life is to serve others. Leaders must serve the needs of others rather than their own desires. One reason I wish to run for district office is to serve the FFA and its members. Agriculture is the backbone of our country. FFA and Agricutlure offer the opportunity to serve others. In every thing I do I make sure that the job is done correctly amd thoroughly. If you choose me to hold an officer position I promise I will not let you down. You may ask,"Why choose you over someone else?" I will work to the best of my ability and do all…
Getting the honor and privilege of being a senior FFA officer would be a new learning experience and life long memories for me. I know I would make a spectacular officer. And the time I have been on the junior officer team has helped me understand a little how the senior officers work. So, I do already know how to take on the awesome job they have done and keep it going, for years and…
Allowing me to become a part of The National Association of Colored Women’s Club would be beneficial to not only me, but also to the organization. I am a detailed-oriented, determined student and worker who is looking for an opportunity to learn and grow. My hard word, dedication and passion will prove to be an asset. I believe that The National Association of Colored Women’s Club can continue to make great strides toward the excellence and history of black women by sharing their values, guidance, and experience with an upcoming student who is avid about their career and taking the initiative. With room to grow, I could then apply these skills to my career and community and continue to contribute to the prosperity of The National Association…
Julia Child: In 1941, at the onset of World War II, I moved to Washington, D.C., where I volunteered as a research assistant for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), a newly formed government intelligence agency. In this position, I played a key role in the communication of top-secret documents between U.S. government officials and their intelligence officers. My colleagues and I were sent on assignments around the world, holding posts in Washington, D.C., Kumming, China; and Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 1945, while in Sri Lanka, This is where I began a relationship with fellow OSS employee Paul Child. Me: How come after World War II, did you and your husband Paul move to Paris, France?…
Since early 2017, I have earned over 30 volunteer hours for concessions, event set ups, and have been featured in my town’s newspaper for raising $300 for the club. I believe becoming a State Officer is the perfect opportunity for me to grow not just as leader, but as an individual. Being a State Officer will teach me things that can't be learned in class, such as how to be professional, responsible, and how to actively make a difference within my community. Another reason I want to be a state officer is because I admire what they do.…
I believe that becoming an ALD officer will be an incredible opportunity to master further my leadership and organizational skills. In addition, I will be able to build connections with a community of scholars committed to academic success the same way I am. As an international student, I will be able to represent minorities and encourage them to join honors…
The thing that attracts me the most about being an officer of SACNAS is the passion of helping the community and see that other officers are committed to their position. I think that having a leadership position is just showing that you’re superior than everyone, we must have equally opportunity and have everyone to collaborate with this chapter. Being officer of SACNAS, will not show that I’m a leader, but making the actions or promises to change our chapter and the STEM community will make me a leader. In addition, being an officer will need to build up the community and look for solution to help the national organization. Plus, it’s a diverse organization that allows everyone to make decisions, which I want to lead them to their future careers…
My name is Kaleigh Gonzales I’m a 15 year old sophomore and I’m running for the 2014-2015 officer position of reporter for Armwood High Schools FFA Chapter. I feel I should be selected for this position because not only am I a people person but I am also extremely organized. I think this would make me be able to effectively and efficiently get the Armwood FFA’s chapter name known to the public. I would also try to do this by doing any and all public service projects we can get our hands on, then publishing our successes. I believe that to make a difference you have to be known and respected by the community around you. In the past three years I have served as Vice President for Burnett Middle School for two terms and Treasurer for Armwood high school for one term. In this time I’ve competed many events including forestry, land judging, vet assisting, OCC, creed speaking, and extemporaneous public speaking. By doing this I’ve gained lots of experience and love in our great organization. I believe to be this year’s reporter I have to not only work on our clubs public media aspects but also work hard in competitions to win and better our chapters’ reputation. If I were to describe the technique in which I lead I would have to say that I plan , I tell others my plan , and then I depend on my team to help me. They tell me where they specialize in and what they want to do for me, and we work form there. I try to let people do what makes them happy while still helping me. I can make a personal promise that I will always work my hardest to make FFA my top priority, a position like this requires my full attention. My other activity I engage in is that I am a First sergeant of alpha company in JROTC, this means I am the second in command of one of three company’s in our schools only JROTC battalion. I promise that my responsibilities there will not interfere with my responsibilities regarding FFA. Some activities I want to do this year are competitions like OCC and…
This film traces two parallel stories of women finding purpose in the drag of their lives. Julia Child is the soon to be author of Mastering The Art Of French Cooking, played by Meryll Streep. Child is an unashamedly loud and extremely tall character contrasting with the petite and proper women of Paris in the 1950’s makes for some hilarious comedy. Wife of an American diplomat newly relocated to Paris she is searching for a pastime and tries selling hats and learning bridge before discovering her real passion in cooking. She broke the conventions and enrolled as the first female into a curdon bleu cooking college. She throws…
I am involved with the leadership program at my parish, called SMYL. Being a part of this leadership team is something I aspired to since my involvement in middle school. As a SMYL member I have had the opportunity to work my way through the ranks to earn a position as the Middle School Ministry Coordinator. I work along side ten other coordinators called Servant Team. Together the eleven of us work with our head minister to plan and lead events. I also work with a group of SMYL members that assist me at Middle School ministry events. I have realized that by being on this team that communication is everything. Likewise on the softball field, if there is no communication or a lack of communication, things can go wrong very quickly. Therefore, I like to plan events ahead of time instead of last minute. I have been able to carry over the idea of specialization and delegation like a team has. Just like a sports team has a designated pitcher and catcher, I have been able to work with my team to delegate roles to the best of everyone’s…
I’m a type of person who is organized when in mood. When I am inspired and the visions of my dreams and goals are vivid to me I do things properly and systematically. Just like the books in my improvised bookshelf. I am intact, in order and silent.…
