Introduction & Background of Company

Pensonic Holdings Berhad is an investment holding company. The Company is principally engaged in the manufacture, assembly, sale and distribution of electrical and electronic appliances. It operates in Malaysia, China (including Hong Kong) and Singapore.
The PENSONIC Group is founded by Dato Chew Weng khak, who started business as a selling appliances trading in 1965, as a sole proprietor, which was a retailer for electrical appliance at Balik Pulau, Penang. The name PENSONIC, was coined from two different words: "PEN" for the Penang and "SONIC" for sound. PENSONIC means, "sound from Penang". The brand name has the distinction of being Malaysia’s very first local branded electric home appliance to be marketed. PENSONIC HOLDINGS BERHAD, now with its subsidiaries is principally engaged in the manufacturing, assembling, wholesaling and trading of electronic and electrical products under the PENSONIC brand.
PENSONIC Holdings Bhd is the largest Malaysian household electrical appliance company in the country, where products are also exported to China, Hong Kong, the Middle East and South East Asian Countries.
Currently, with the newly set up Factory occupying some area of 3 acre in Bukit Tengah Industrial Park, Penang, with more than 10 assembly lines, and total PENSONIC workforce of more than 400 employees, PENSONIC had indeed increased the efficiency and effectiveness in operation, sales and services distinctively. Over the years, the name PENSONIC has become synonymous with reliability and durability and the group has evolved into a well- known player in the home appliances market.
The Company's subsidiaries include Keat Radio Co. Sdn. Bhd. (KRC), Pensia Electronic Sdn. Bhd., Pensia Industries Sdn. Bhd., Pensonic Sales & Service Sdn. Bhd., Cornell Sales & Service Sdn.
