The book’s genre is a fantasy literature about the world of half-bloods, heroes and Greek mythology. Riordan started the story when is son got interested in Greek mythology he asked his dad to tell him myths as the bed time story. When Riordan ran out of myths to tell him his son asked him to make up one. So Riordan made a character named Percy Jackson, and told his story. When he finished the story his son told him that he should turn it into a book, then that’s exactly what Riordan did. Recently his son’s been diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD.
