Percy Jackson's Personality In The Lighting Thief
"Grover is sitting by the fountain with Nancy Bobofit, still soaked from her swim in the fountain", was said by Percy Jackson the protagonist of The Lighting Thief
Percy Jacksons personality is questionable. Sometimes he is calm and normal. Some times he really angry.
In the book Percy's personality is sometimes calm and normal like when Annabelle was feeding him the popcorn pudding and when he was playing pinochle with Chiron.
He is commonly angry like when he goes home and gabe makes him do stuff for his poker buddies and when Clarisse makes fun of him he gets really angry.
That's why Percy's personality is questionable. Percy's conflict was different then ordinary humans because he had ADHD. Most of the half bloods have ADHD and dyslexia.

I see Achilles as ill-tempered and reactionary because he cannot control his temper and becomes furious when his pride is hurt. He is very prideful and will do basically anything for his name to be remembered. His mother, a Goddess and fortune teller, tells him his fate, if he goes to Troy to fight Hector his name will be forgotten. He still goes because of his strong desire to avenge his best friend and cousin Patroclus’ death. I think this shows that, even though prideful, he is also very loving and cared deeply for people especially his family and close friends. His rage is very evident in his personality throughout The Iliad. In the section of The Iliad read, his anger is shown at Hector for killing Patroclus, it is apparent that pride and anger are a major part to his personality.…

Do you know who said "From her first day, Mrs. Dodds would point her crooked finger at me and say Now, honey"? It was Percy Jackson, the protagonist of The Lightning Thief. Percy Jackson's personality was very confused, because he wanted to know where he was , and what was going on. In the book Percy was confused because he was questioning on every thing, the weather, Grover, where he was. He wanted to know why people wanted to kill him.…

Gods would disguise themselves as humans, go to earth, meet women, and fall in love. Then they had children and would go back to Olympia, leaving their child behind. The reason the author included half-bloods in this book, as opposed to just humans, is because it deepens the storyline and adds to the characters by giving them special characteristics, attributes, and abilities similar to their parents. However, some half-bloods were in cahoots with the monsters trying to kill Percy.…

This is because he was raised that way from going to Camp Jupiter in California. Percy was fighting people to protect Frank and Hazel. Hazel said, "Part of their problem was Percy. He fought like a demon, whirling through the defender's ranks in a completely unorthodox style, rolling under their feet, slashing with his sword instead of stabbing like a Roman would, whacking campers with the flat of his blade, and generally causing mass panic.” If the story had a different setting, then Percy would have been raised differently, certainly with different morals. If this did occur, then Percy might not have risked his life for Frank and Hazel, and they might have died.…

He would place somewhere on the continuum of personality attributes such as extroverted to introverted, passive to aggressive, and optimistic to pessimistic. All throughout the movie, I can see where Warren was sometimes extroverted and introverted. I can see where he was passive about certain things and aggressive about others. He was pretty pessimistic at the beginning of the movie. He was pessimistic about his wife, about his retirement, and about his daughter marrying a boy whom he did not like. Towards the end he was optimistic about life. He went to his daughter’s wedding with no incident. He had some closure with his wife as he seen the shooting star.…

Percy Jackson transforms from a Greek to a Roman and then decides to establish himself as Greek but with some Roman qualities. The other main characters in the novel look up to Percy as their hero for saving them from the wrath of Cronus and the Titans, while Gaea and her monsters conclude that he, not the gods, are their most feared enemy. Percy has many great strengths which include: combat, Language and communication Skills, ability to create earthquakes, hurricanes, and water. The character does not seem at all real considering the inhumane abilities they seem to possess and the fact that one of their parents is a god removes every possibility of this character to seem real. The character grows throughout the story as he is presented these situations that he must adapt to in order to survive and prevail and ultimately learns what it takes to succeed. I feel this character is essential to the defeat of Gaea and her monsters and without him they wouldn’t be able to do…

Imagine that you just found out that your camp was about to be ambushed by a group of monsters and demigods. What would you do? In the book, Percy fought against the Titan army for his friends and family. He was brave enough to go down into the Labyrinth with Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson, and stop the Titan army. Percy also has visions when he sleeps, like he dreams of Daedalus, the creator of the labyrinth, and also Luke, leader of the Titan army. I highly recommend this book to any readers that wish to go on an amazing adventure, and learn more about Greek Mythology. In my opinion, this book was filled with excitement, adventure, and it made the reader want to shout “Watch out for that monster!” This book was overall one of my favorite books…
