Performing Arts Academy Acceptance Speech
Good Evening Central Academy of Technology and Arts. (sigh) Today is the end a long journey of free education, and I welcome you to the world of lifelong debt where only the strong survive.I’m going to hopefully teach you something very important that I have learned here in the performing arts academy throughout the struggles and accomplishments I have endured these last four years. I hope before you leave this building every single one of you will learn something that will stick with you for the rest of your life. A genius before our time once said “The two most remarkable days in your life is first the day you are born and the day you discovered the reason you were born.” Every single soul in this building was put on this earth with a purpose to serve …show more content…
Without motive or purpose to live human beings tend to not have any passion to live, help others, teach others or even become better for others. Anything worth having will not come easy which is a huge lesson I was taught here in the performing arts academy. Sometimes in order to get what you really want you have to make sacrifices and you may not enjoy life for some time because your wants and needs may trump other priorities in your life. Shakespeare once said “Desiring this man’s art and that man’s scope with what I MOST enjoy contented least. Which is why your purpose and why is something important to consider and think about before leaving this building today class of 2016. Life gets harder for us once we step out there in the real world by ourselves, which I feel CATA has helped prepare us for that journey. Ask yourself this for a second, what is your ? Why are you here, and what is your goal in this world to make a difference ? If you are not making someone else's life better then why are you here on this

All of us have a lot of questions, and we don’t have the answers to those questions; that can really discourage us. I was in college and that’s how I felt. Consequently, that led to many dismal thoughts, because I assumed that I didn’t serve a purpose. One event in particular gave me an idea, that I could begin the cycle of purpose for myself. Once, I was nonchalantly strolling to my car from class, when I spotted an anomaly in the distance. My car had been burglarized, which made me a mix of complicated emotions. I sprinted to my car, hopefully nothing had been taken. Although, the doors were wide open, only one thing was stolen; my car radio. “Why me,” I screamed at the…

With this we find that God has given us a reason for our existence, a meaning for our existence. We were created by him, according to his desire, and our lives are to be lived for him so that we might accomplish what he has for us to do. If our ultimate goal in life is to bring glory to God then we can do that by being the best at what we do in the various callings of life (1 Cor.10:31). God wants us to know him as stated in John 17:3 and we can do this by having a personal intimate relationship with him so that we can truly glorify and enjoy God forever.…

One thing people have always told me is that I remind them of the person Randall Cobb from the book game changers. He has one of the most creative and unique personalities. He is passionate for the game of basketball by working hard on his time. Randall is also talented in the subjects math and science by pushing himself to make good grades. He also thrives to help people even if it's with school work, personal problems, or on the basketball court. All in all he was almost exact the same person as I am he likes basketball, he helps others, and he does well in school.…

Everybody has reasons behind the choices they make in life, whether they realize this or not. It does not matter if the reasons are good, bad, strong, or weak, because it is up to the individual to decide what will truly motivate him or her. With that being said, I have been asked the question, “Why am I in college?” At first glance, the question seemed simple to answer. However, upon reflection, I found there were a myriad of reasons behind my choice to be in school right now. As I thought about why I am here in the first place, I realized there are both external and internal motivators behind my decision. The most compelling reasons for me to be…

Most teenagers do not have a clue about what they want to be when they grow up. Most young adults also do not know where their path is in life. Even some full-blown adults are still trying to figure out their purpose. I was lucky. I knew exactly where I belonged from about the time I was seven up until now, at the decently young age of nineteen. I do not see my path changing anytime soon; in fact, I know it will never change. But, I did not just wake up one day as a child and know what my path was, while that would be impressive. Defining moments in one’s life defines who they are. There were lots of things I experienced in my life that made me realize my purpose, my absolute passion. I had four of these defining moments in my short span of…
