Personal Eassy On Belt Test
The experience of my belt test caused me to learn strength, diligence, integrity, and perseverance. I was at Tae Kwon Do, and it was finally time for me to earn my blue belt. This belt test was one of the hardest things I have ever done. My coaches wanted me to prove to them that is was the right time to go up in belt rank. That being said, they worked me until every muscle in my body felt like worn out tires. I was vomiting every twenty minutes and I could barely see through all of the sweat that traveled its way into my poor eyes.
Exercising is usually a fairly easy task for some people, including myself. That is, until they go through any type of belt test in martial arts. Despite all of the pain, sweat, tears, and blood, I kept pushing

The USAF has evolved into a smaller elite force; and has taken on many of the combat tasks of the Army. The Air Force has filled a role of; convoys, patrols, and prison guards due to the surge of combat operations across Afghanistan and Iraq. The Air Force no longer remains a behind the scenes service. Each day American Airman has been sitting on the front lines with their Army and Marine’s brothers and sisters. Staying physically fit has become the United States Air Force’s (USAF) highest priority and is crucial to the fight against present and future enemies. Roberts, quote from Airman “Are you fit to fight”, sums up General Jumper’s stance on Air Force physical fitness “Who said his focus, is "not on passing a fitness test once a year. More important, we are changing the culture of the Air Force. This is about our preparedness to deploy and fight. It 's about warriors. It is about instilling an expectation that makes fitness a daily standard - an essential part of your service."(Roberts 2) In turn, this has dramatically changed the USAF’s fitness mindset which consisted of waist measurement, push-ups, crunches and the one-in-half mile run which is governed by Air Force Instruction 36-2905. Each of the four components is equally important; because, if the minimum standards are not met for each category then you will not pass the test.…

It has been a very long journey between now and the beginning of my journey as a 1st Dan Black Belt. To start off, I would like to thank Head Master Wayne Steinmetz, Master Frank Mueller, Master Tina Curtis and all of the other Black Belts in The McHenry Flying Dragons for giving me this opportunity to continue on and achieve my goal to becoming a Black Belt. As my journey went on, I have realized that I have changed a lot just from becoming a Black Belt instead of a colored belt because when a Black Belt comes into play they wake up to the fact that they can be a role model as they grow into Kyuki-Do more and more. I, on the other hand, have experienced that feeling; my mom has been working at a school for 17 years being an aide and finally a green stripe from our school she said, “Hey, Easton, guess what? There was a little boy named Danny and he was practicing his form during recess today.” She also said, “I asked him, who you learned that from?” The little boy said, “A Black Belt from my school, his name was Easton.” When my mom told me that story it made me feel so happy inside because there was a lower belt looking up to me, as if I was his role model.…

Slowly as time passed, and I took the classes, I began to notice changes in my body and stamina. The classes are broken into two, one hour segments, Extreme Fitness and Krav Maga. In Extreme Fitness, the instructors run us through exercises using our own body weight, kettle bells, cardio and combatives on a heavy bag. I could hit the bag harder, do more pushups, and the cardio did not wind me like it used to. I saw changes in how much energy I had, waking up and not being tired and having more energy through the day. I saw a change in how my clothes fit me, my pants hanging looser on me, so much so that I had to buy a smaller belt so they would not fall down.…

As a matter of fact, when you are giving your body a higher dose of effort than usual, it has a natural reaction of trying to go along with this new rhythm. While exercising is natural act of moving some parts of our body which lead the heart to pump blood in our system, it is becoming an ignored act by our current society as everything is being automatized and people are becoming more and more depended of what the machine can do for them. Yet, only a few percentage of adult from our modern societies is practicing a certain physical activity regularly at a level compatible with basic health requirement. In Europe for instance, based on 2009 data, more than 60% of adults do not engage in any kind of physical activity (Pedro J Teixeira, p-1, 2012). This behavior may have a direct impact on your intellectual performance. For instance, in…
