Personal Narrative: Grand Theft Auto
I woke up on a Friday morning in December on the 23. I sat down in the chair in front of the tv and logged onto Grand Theft Auto. Robert, Cam, and James were on xbox live with me.

I went out to my truck to go to the auto garage. When I was driving I turned around a corner, I was going minding my own business. There was an R.V. on my side of the road. They were going 90 miles per hour. They started to swerve and so did I. I hit the brakes and swerved even worse. I was siting in the way, so I hit the gas to get out of the way. I headed toward the camper but I didn't turn fast enough, so we crashed. The last thing I saw was two adults and a kid.

I woke up on December 25. The nurse's told me that a kid named James was found in the back

He just left, so I took my truck and found his truck tracks that went out to the rocky coast. I followed the tracks and I found him and a few friends off roading in 4x4 trucks. They had gone a long way, it was one mile and they are still going, Cam was in his truck. I called Robert, he was watching James for me. I tried to call Cam but he would not pick up the phone. It came to be 9:00 pm, and Cam headed home so I followed him.

The next morning I took James to the adoption house to give him up because I could not support him with clothes and food. I found out that his grand parents took him so I went to their house to say good bye. When I got there he was happy to see

Cam sunk his truck and got in with Robert. A few more of our friends sunk their trucks as well. I looked back and James and his grand father were still there. They were driving really good. Robert just sank his truck, so Cam and Robert got in with me. I made it to the end of the trail, although a few others did not make it through.

We were driving back home it was vary dark out. My head lights were out, so I was trying to stay on the road I didn't know it but, I was on a different road, not the main road. I stopped so we could sleep. When it got light out we could see that we were no longer on the main road so we started to drive, after awhile we headed to the coast line and we road it back to the beach to figure out where we were.

We got to the beach and look that the beach map to see what beach we were at. It turns out that we are at turtle beach only a mile from the house. We got to the house 10 minutes later and we parked the truck in the garage to fix it. After a few hours we fixed the truck and we bought a new one that was a real off road truck with off road suspension and a desert body and sand

The narrative, The Driver’s Seat struck home for me because I just received my driver’s license this past May, 2015. I took time for me to actually drive and to become comfortable behind the wheel of a car. This piece of writing spoke to me and allowed me to review some of the identical thinking points that I went through while getting to the point of taking control of my dad’s car. The story effectively walked me through the trials of spirit and mental anguish that preceded me in taking hold of the vehicle with my dad as the co-pilot giving directions. This was the exact thing the driving instructor in The Driver’s Seat‘ taught the author. The routine of how to maneuver and throw caution to the wind- taking risks- to get the author over…

We finally made it to Hinton, West Virginia, home of Bluestone State Park. It felt weird not being at home, surrounded by my pets, and loud noises throughout the night. We checked in at the office once we arrived to the campgrounds and headed for the cabins. It felt amazing to get out of the area I was used to and spend time with my family, doing something we loved. I was so excited to see the cabin and the deer wondering out in the tall, grassy fields. It was around seven and it was starting to get dark so we decided to grill some hamburgers and hope that no wild animals would come and try to have dinner with us. Before we knew it, bedtime was just around the corner. The next morning at the breakfast table, I suggested going down to the lake and fishing instead of going hiking considering it was nice and warm outside.…
