Lately, I find myself thinking about college and life after college more and more as I grow older. Because of this I realized that to achieve my various goals I need to set a pathway that will help me reach them. I am a rising 9th grader and I get asked those certain questions almost every day, things like “what classes are you taking in high school?” or “what do you want to be when you grow up?” or even the “what college do you want to go to?”. These questions have really made me think about life and what I want to do and I only have one answer, I'm not sure. Volunteering in general would help hone your skills and make you more experienced for the work force. I would try to work at my church or at a local soup kitchen so I could help the community and sharpen my skills as well as my knives at the same time.
College Goals
Unfortunately there is only one college in North Carolina that offers a four year Bachelor program. This college is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and is called Johnson and Wales. In my opinion everyone’s connotation of community colleges is terrible and I can’t hesitate to agree from my experiences with them. There are fifteen colleges offering at least an associates degree in Culinary Arts/Chef training that CFNC suggested in North Carolina.
CFNC suggested a plethora of different options that all cater to my needs, but the college I have decided on is Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte. Unfortunately they don’t have such a great athletics program, but sadly there aren't such great expectations when it comes to sports from a school for Culinary arts. It is close to home and I know the surrounding area already so there are numerous
