My main goal is to go to college. I am looking at a degree in forestry. My next goal is to find a job in the career field of my choice. To do this I need to make sure that when I am in college, I am putting forth my best effort in my classes and networking with people in the field. These goals have to be reached for me to do well out in the real world. High school may seem like it doesn’t matter, but it does because in the end without high school, I wouldn’t be able to go on to college and then on to a job that I love to do and work. To make my family proud I want to graduate and go onto college, get my degree, and finally make a living in my career field choice.…
I am dependable. As a Home Depot employee, my job was clear; Taking care of my people, customers and doing the right thing was how I operated. I was one of the most looked up to worker in the garden department. It would be days when the shift is going outrageous with many task to do or crowded with customers, I would be one of the first people called on to help out with any situation or if any customers had questions about anything, I was always there to help out.…
On January 12, 2017 in Sioux Falls, SD, I job shadowed at Avera Hospital with Teri Ruiter who is a midwife. When I first got to the hospital I had to find a place to park at plaza 1. I went inside and a guy behind a desk asked me where I was going, I told him the Avera Women’s on the 4th floor. From there he showed me where the elevator was. I went up to the Women’s center and the lady behind a desk asked how she could help me, I explained to her I had a job shadow with a midwife. She then brought me back to the midwifery section. There I met 4 ladies, one of them was Ruiter. We introduced ourselves. Then got busy.…
Me working at Well Fargo would be a good match for me because I can see myself Use First Level Sequence and Use As Needed Precision for those particular tasks or responsibilities. I work better alone then in a team because my learning pattern of Technical Reasoning is Use First Level rather than yours is Avoid It to work with…
People who aren’t in Jrotc tend to think that they discipline you to be better than other citizens and that you will become a soldier for the military. Those people think you automatically know what to do in situations or that you were going to be in it no matter what, but these people are sometimes wrong and I will provide information on my experience in Jrotc. My role in Jrotc improved my skills in service to other. Lessons I learned from and how it helped me prepare to help others…
I asked Mr. Richards, what his experience with EY was like and what made influenced the changes in his career. I also asked him what advice he had for someone starting their career. I noticed similarities between his response and the advice from Mr. Yokley and Mr. Hough. All three, in different ways, said to see every day as a learning opportunity and to always be open to different opportunities. I am a planner type of person so it can be hard for me to accept things that aren’t apart of that plan but I think its important that I be flexible and open minded. I have been working on being more flexible and this semester has certainly made me grow in that regard. During my internship, I was very good at looking at every task as a chance to learn…
After my employment at Sunglass Hut ended on June 2013, I took the rest of the summer to be with friends and vactation until school started in August at Florida State. From August 2013 through June 2014 I was a full time student at Floirda State and my class schedule would not allow me to have a job due to the times classes were scheduled. Also, from August 2015 to present I am in the same situation where having a job would not make sense due to my class schedule and extracurricular activities would create a scheduling conflict.…
At the start of spring semester my freshman year I had an outstanding balance with my home institution. This balance caused me a lot of stress and the time that I should’ve spending study was instead being spent on worrying on thoughts of how I might not be able to return in the fall. Fortunately with the money I earned through my internship that summer I was able to bring my remaining balance down low enough for me to enroll for classes. However in order to not put myself in that position I took on numerous jobs on campus, spreading myself too thin and not leaving enough space for my studies. After talking with my professors and getting their advice I was able to manage being both a full time student and working the hours of a full time employee.…
Job depreciation for (Me) "Nathan Lievsay". I have worked at Yellow Cab for 16 yrs. My Income at Yellow Cab was sufficient enough to pay for the mortgage and bills for many years until an unfortunate set of circumstances have caused my job at Yellow Cab to loose business and cause me to loose income. I have noticed that my income at Yellow Cab began slowly depreciated over the last few years. And it turns out that UBER and LYFT has been the reason which reduced my income by less than half. For the past year I have been trying to find other jobs to bring my income back up. I have tried two different Jobs which still were not sufficient enough for the type of income I need. And now I am currently working for UBER as an independent contractor…
The important pursuit of financial success is an idea that has been drilled into my head by the adults in my life from early on; my parents struggled in life, and for me they wanted a better, easier, future for me. What I took away from this was that I would not be successful and happy without the money and credentials as well. I could not understand why so many of my classmates wanted to be writers and artists; didn't they too want to be successful? However, the summer before my senior year, I had an idea that would change my thought process forever: a visit to the gateway of success, the Naval Academy.…
I feel that although these attempts at reaching out to you have been futile, I want you to know how I feel without any expectation that you respond.…
It takes a great deal of patience to cross the finish line, whether running or walking, it takes time, but it does not waste time. The Stock Market is where people place their money, time, and confidence; I on the other hand was neither confident nor patient. I wanted to win and that was the goal and I constantly was stressing about winning the game. The Stock Market taught me that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It taught me that life is not a game, you cannot win nor lose. There are rules and boundaries, and there is fun in life as well but there are no losers or winners but that is perfectly fine. I probably should not have stressed so much about it because in a year or so it will not matter. Investing your time soaked with stress…

I had picked up a closing shift this Friday thinking I would be done with finals and able to work. It turns out I had to schudule one of my finals during that time slot because one of my other finals confilcted with the time I originally intended to take that exam. Is there a way I can be excused from this shift? I can provid the proper documentation if needed,…
