Personal Narrative: My Experience In College
I started learning the basics skills and rules of the game. I started playing Belle-Clair when I was four or five years old, after I saw my sister playing, I wanted to get started as quickly as possible. I played with girls that I went to school with. Every practice and game was so entertaining. Being able to play with my friends outside of schools and getting snacks after every game was the best part. Just being able to have fun as a kid was enjoyable as well. After a little while being on Belle-Clair, my sister switched teams and went to a select team called BFC (Belleville Football Club). I told my mom I wanted to join the same club. She said she was not sure if they had my age group but she will go ahead and look. Few days with my sister being on the team, my …show more content…
Even though, it was just a year, it was just so great. I could not put into words how much I miss it. And would do anything to be able to play again with her. Since I am going to SWIC, Lindenwood usually plays them in pre-season but for some reason SWIC did not schedule them, which upset me because I could have the chance to play against her. But overall, I am so glad that I got to play soccer for at least thirteen years. Each practice and game have taught me which made me a better player and become the player I am today. I can not thank all my coaches for what they have taught me and gave me speeches about not being so hard on myself and staying positive. The teammates I have met throughout all the years, I keep in touch with most of them. If I could start from the very beginning of being a kid, just chasing the ball, I would in heartbeat. Because it was so much fun and I love every second of it. I have put my whole life into this sport and I do not regret any decision that I turned down for this sport. I can not wait till what college has in store for me and the near future after

College is unfamiliar territory to individuals of my age. I have friends and family members who have been through it, yet everyone’s experience is completely diverse. Nevertheless, there is one statement that is habitually received amongst many when they talk about their college experience: “College is the best four years of your life, so be sure to make the most of it.” That is unerringly what I plan to accomplish with my four years at the University of Louisville. I want it to be memorable.…

I made the team my junior year. Although I did not start the first games because the coach would put some of his favorite players in but one game he put me in second half and no one would get pass me. I was taking all the all the balls away from the opponents and also winning them in the air. After that game I became the starter for every game. It felt good because there were only seven juniors on the team and I was one out of three juniors that started every game. But I was really clad for myself because all the hard work I did over the summer paid off. We were in a tournament and were playing to go to the finals. We won 7 -1. I scored my first goal in that game. When I thought everything was going good one of the opponent player slide and hit me in the knee with his cleats and I just fell and I could not walk because it was the worst pain in the…

In the summer leading up to my first semester in college, my expectations were high. I assumed that all I had to do was study, attend my classes and I would breeze through the courses with ease. As I predicted, I began the fall semester effortlessly and my confidence was higher than before. As a student in the Honors College, I was presented with a mass amount of opportunities that I found it impossible to isolate myself from others which I always had a tendency to do. I began to participate in several events and volunteered through many different institutions. Collaborating with the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy my ENC 1101 class and I initiated an event where we formed a service learning project that would educate and encourage students at Miami Dade College North Campus to take part in this year’s election. Through participating in that event and many similar to it I learned that being engaged is an…
