week, it was time for cuts, everyone had their turn, played well and I was up next. I walked over with my instrument and began to play. As I played, the nervousness came and I begin play the wrong notes in the wrong key but my director instructed me to continue. As I continued to play, I knew my chances of playing in the concert the next week were slight. After I finished, the instructor pulled me to the side and told me I was cut. I was very upset but thought to myself I couldn’t blame anyone but myself for not being prepared. That incident taught me there’s no such thing as not needing to practice, because the more you practice the better you become.
